I. Introduction
A. Identify the organization
1. Brief overview of the organization
The organization that will be the topic of discussion in my final project is Piedmont Heart Institute. Building on more than a century of experience, they employ more than 85 prominent cardiovascular physicians therefore forming one of the premier cardiac centers in the region by bringing together three of the largest cardiology practices in the region. Piedmont Heart Institute was formed so that they could provide patients with a new and innovative place for care. Like many healthcare facilities, Piedmont Heart Institute went through a big lay off in 2010 and not only was locations shut down but it caused the layoff of quite a lot of employees. They went from being a stand-alone company to now being a part of a larger entity Piedmont Hospital. With the layoff’s, Piedmont Heart Institute lost a lot of employees that were highly valuable and cannot be replaced which means jobs are getting dropped by the way side.
As an entity operating under the umbrella of Piedmont Hospital, Piedmont Heart Institute has pledge to become the top 10 hospital in 10 years and they are well on their way to do so. They have hired some of the top physicians from all over the country to add to the already excellent physicians on staff. The cutting edge services that they are offering to the patient’s range from Cardiac care, Heart transplant services, Heart cauterization, EP (Electrophysiological) services just to name a few.

Mgmt 591 Project Final

...Final Project Peter S. McCarthy psm62477@yahoo.com MGMT 591 – Organizational Behavior Dr. Anthony Campos October 15, 2013 Organization Overview The organization that I have chosen for my final project is Envelopes.com. Envelopes.com is an online retailer is an envelope and printing business that prides itself on having the largest selection of in-stock items in a large variety of colors, sizes, and styles. The combination of a large selection, the ability to quickly print and ship, and superior customer service, puts Envelopes.com at the forefront of internet retailers. While the main focus is on envelopes and custom print jobs, Envelopes.com also carries a variety of colors, sizes and styles of paper, cardstock, and mailing supplies. The company is about forty two years old and has had their fair share of ups and downs. I am currently the acting operations manager within this organization. The company is valued at about $20 million, is located in Amityville, NY, and has been growing at about 10% per year in the last three years. As the current operational manager I have noticed some items that need to be addressed on their way to becoming a high performance organization. While this organization is doing well financially, there are definitely some areas that need to be improved on their way to becoming a high performance organization. Some of the issues I have noticed in the last few months as the operations manager are as follows. While I am aware that each...

...MGMT 530 Week 7 Course Project US Foods To Buy This material Click below link http://www.uoptutors.com/mgmt-530/mgmt-530-week-7-course-project-us-foods The objective of the Course Project is to provide you with practice in creating, justifying, and explaining a decision-making proposal. All elements involved in the creation of this proposal, from problem definition through action plan, must be covered. Further, the proposal, as constructed, must meet the tests of any sound business plan, namely that it has specific and measurable goals and objectives, clearly defined activities, stipulated time frames during which those activities will take place, and clearly defined measurable outcomes. The subject matter of your paper should be business-oriented in nature and should avoid decisions that depend largely on intuition to solve. Although the length of the paper is not predetermined, a 10–15 page analysis, including data and appendices, is probably correct. You will also share a summary PowerPoint presentation with fellow students during the Week 6 Discussion. The Final Course Project Proposal with the PowerPoint presentation is due by the end of Week 7 (graded). Required Outline The following outline is required for your Course Project. Executive Summary (less than one page) This summary is a short, carefully worded description of the problem situation that identifies the recommended solution. A brief justification and explanation of the selection method is to be included...

The Intergration of Askhr

...The Integration of AskHR MGMT404 Project Management April 25, 2013   Table of Contents Executive Summary Scope Statement Work Breakdown Structure Network Diagram Risk Management Plan Resource Management Plan Communication Management Plan   Executive Summary Several years ago we signed a contract with an outside vendor to handle our HR calls; this company was mostly there to assist during open enrollment and to answer the questions of colleagues as it pertained to their Benefits through our corporation. We set high expectations, however, shortly after the launch we started experiencing longer than usual hold times, and the miscommunication of accurate information began to increase. We received tons of unsatisfactory emails and calls from disgruntle colleagues pleading for an alternative to calling the “solution center.” While we really wanted the experience to be pleasurable, it was extremely difficult to change the already tarnished reputation the vendor had established with our colleagues. After a year and a half of negative feedback we decided to sever ties with the vendor, and the search for alternatives began. After several meetings with the Senior Leadership Team it was determined that providing the type of relatable service that expressed care and concern could only be provided by colleagues of our corporation who understood how Benefits are administered. It was later decided that we would bring our service center in-house and staff the...
