...) reliability, (2) validity, (3) generalizability, (4) utility, and (5) legality. This selection process will meet the standards. Literature Review Recruitment This specific recruitment plan utilizes the internet and newspaper as a means to pull in interested and qualified applicants. A particular internet job board that could match job seekers' skills and qualifications with our HR Department was strategically selected. Advertisement in the local newspaper was added to increase the pool of applicants in the underrepresented group(s). The web is major factor of the recruitment and job search process. The specific research questions guiding this study are: how do people search for job-related information on the web? How effective are these searches? And how likely are job seekers to find an appropriate job posting or application? Research data used to examine these questions come from job seekers submitting job-related queries to a major web search engine at three points in time over a five-year period. The finding indicate that individuals seeking job information generally submit only one query with several terms and over 45 percent of job-seeking queries contain a specific location reference. Of the documents retrieved, findings suggest that only 52 percent are relevant and only 40 percent of job-specific searches retrieve job postings. Job seekers are actually using the web; It assists organizations as part of their recruiting effort but it not consistently the......

Psy 210 Psychotherepy Checkpoint Week 8

...| | Checkpoint: Psychotherapy Psychotherapy is helping him or her discover their minds nature and inner workings. This is done by processing their three regions of consciousness; the id, the ego, and the super ego. Sigmund Freud developed his theory (psychodynamics) through the process of identifying four characteristics that diagnosed mentally ill patients. This process included dream analysis, association, and transference. Psychologists, who used humanistic-existential, work with surmounting disturbances-effecting their functioning. This theory did not focus on the past like psychodynamic theory but instead focuses on patient centered therapy. The behavioral psychologist will employ a method of conditioning by assisting in surmounting personal fears and obstacles from their personality traits. The four characteristics are also known as essentials; fear reduction, aversive conditioning, bio-feed back, and operant conditioning to help patients. The Behavior therapist implements procedures that they deem appropriate for allowing a patient to learn through application of trials to overcome their problem. Cognitive psychologists work to change a patient’s way of thinking to help them overcome their problems. They instruct ways to retrain positive thinking, adaptive thinking, and progressive thought to treat their patients. Cognitive is intended in a more rational and emotional way to help behavior patterns (away from irrational patterns). Biomedical treatments are a bit......

Mgt/210 Week Seven

...Week Seven Andrew R. Reyna MGT/210 June 10, 2012 Kathy Willis Week Seven After completing exercise 15-3 in our text, I was rather astonished by the results. The test indicated that I was 84 percent of a leader and 16 percent of a supervisor. While completing this test some of the questions I found to rather hardlined and somewhat biased in the way they were presented and often times the questions were too black and white. Honestly, I find myself to be more of mixture between a leader and supervisor rather than a leader, nevertheless, I digress. I feel as though being a leader, as indicated by the test, the strengths that I would use to approach two of the supervisory responsibilities, would be fairness, patients, ability to find new ways to approach problems, gathering the correct resources, and my cunningness to overstep bureaucracy and see things for what they are. The two supervisory responsibilities that I use my strengths towards would be Demonstrating Communication and Improving Productivity as a Team. I feel as though, after taking the test, that I am a mixture of a leader and supervisor. My leadership consists of being able to approach things as a captain of a ship. This type of leadership holds many things sacred such as, honor, respect, making swift and calculating decisions and more importantly have the confidence of your crew or the people you lead. This type of leadership keeps the big picture constantly in front of him or her while at the same...
