When making a decision, it should be sound, because it can affect day-to-day operations of business or even something major. Does the decision reflect solutions to problems? Some organizations prefer to use a rational style, which centers on facts and figures, and logical and scientific approaches to their problems. It is important to understand that any problem presented may not be the actual problem that needs to be addressed. Often an identified problem is merely a symptom of a greater problem that requires a decision. However, the examination of smaller problems or symptoms can largely assist in determining the overarching issues that needs attention. I use intuitive approach when making my decisions which involves the least amount of outsourcing and procrastination. To identify problems I use my intuitive skills to identify and form a plan for a desired result by altering the current event. The most used technique that I use in decision making and problem solving would have to be the strategic and analytical methods. Identifying the problem would be first in this process and then weighing the options and possible outcomes. When identifying problems, I take notes of the flaws from negative results and consequences of an issue. An example of this is when I have to constantly have to tell drivers the steps in going down from being on call 24/7. So therefore I used a simple reminder by making a flyer for them to go by with step by step instructions. I text and emailed everyone of the changes that I made to make it easier on them and also gave them a physical flyer for them to reference back to.
