1-20. What do you think is causing some of the problem in the bank’s home office and branches?
The one of important issue in bank’s home office is employee turnover was so high in past 8 years. The supervisor to find a suitable employee to replace the worker who wants quit or already quit. Employee turnover is a costly expense in lower paying job rules. So employee turnover rate is highest. It was no standardization of recruitment process in organization. The entire branch office hired employee without communicate with their home office. I think bank’s supervisor is failure to train their employee.
1-21. Do you think setting up an HR unit in the main office would help?
I think it would. It was clear that if a personnel office were set up, there are HR-related problem both in the home office and in the branches.
1-22. What specific functions should an HR unit carry out? What HR functions would then carried out by supervisors and other line managers? What role should the Internet play in the new HR organization?
HR Unit: job analyses, planning labor needs and recruiting, providing advising and training in the selection process, orientation of new employee, managing wage and salary administration, managing incentives and benefits.
Supervisors and other line managers: interviewing and selection of job candidates. Training new employees, and appraising performance. Departmental & personal communication, also including training & development.
New technology helps companies in various areas such as communication, advertising, marketing and competition. Also uses the technology to reach candidates and communicate with them.
1-23. Make a list of five specific HR problem you think carter cleaning will have grapple with.
Non-trained stuff therefore low job performance.
