1. What were your initial feelings about the article?
Initially I thought “I could never live under that type of law”. I understand Sharia is a code
For living; however, it makes me angry when I read how unequal women are treated under the law. I feel bad for the women Shariah, at the same token I feel very privileged for the freedom that I do have. This type of treatment is very unacceptable and I agree there laws need to be changed. My first thought wasn’t rational it was more emotional because of the treatment of women. 2. Discuss the external forces that impact the evolution of this culture. As you discuss these factors you are to go beyond the information presented in the article, researching the culture and the external forces driving it?

Cultures are dynamic. They differ significantly every time. There are arguments for concern that Islam’s will have a harder time evolving the blights on history are rooted in human disappointment to relate Judeo Christian doctrine, not in the doctrine itself. There are two cultural patterns in Indonesia, which are related with both readings, and they are different from Western society, the way Indonesian value their time and their communication style. A foreign visitor should be aware of those differences in order to adjust more easily and avoid intercultural conflict and misunderstanding. Still, society has evolved and flourished because of religious principles, not in spite of them. It took a very long time to discover the exact balance between the sacred and the secular, and there is good reason to believe that the most serious problems today are source by too much control of faith, not too little. Religion is the strongest force in society and all of its beliefs are important to each religion in their own way, even though Christianity, Judaism, as well as Islam all shared some similarities.

You Decide

...Choices and Consequences The Number 1 choice is Jerry, the father, offers the best utilitarianism of hope and use of his life to help his children and family and the best longevity of life given he has essentially been healthy except for the damage done to his heart from the Steroids some 20 to 30 years earlier. His wife and children play no part in the decision in him getting the heart. It all has to do with his health, and ability to live a life after he receives it. And also some other facts which should be considered like life expectancy, importance, age etc. when deciding on whom to donate the heart to. He’s cause for damage to the heart was the steroids, of which he was unaware of the consequences of taking the steroids at the time he took so there wasn’t any sort of health irresponsibility known otherwise. His chances to live 10-15 more years are very high so it’s one point investing in him. He has a family to take care of, wife and the 3 kids who he has to support till they are on their feet and so forth. He also has been a good supporting father as he’s already being supporting their dreams career wise and the future. So my first choice with all confidence would be Jerry. The number 2 choice is Ozzie because as LONG as he does not get back on his old ways HE does hold out some hope on society as a whole as long he does NOT revert back and does good in society by helping out and he no longer does any drugs - he really can have a useful and a prosperous and productive...
