Michael’s life Experience

Michaels Life Experience
About a year ago, I went out with friends for a night out. We headed over to a night club in downtown Minneapolis, MN. My friend Michael was the driver, and he drove us to the night club. Our plan was to only have fun and few beers. When we got there we started drinking. Later we started dancing and having fun. The next thing we know my friend who was supposed to drive us back home had 6 beers and started getting ready to take shots of tequila. We tried talking to him to stop drinking, but he never listened to us and kept drinking. When we were coming to the club we decided that Michael not have any drinks, now we realized that he had more than we expected and more. Michael was supposed to go to work after fours, soon after he drops us home. We went out to the car sat in it thinking what we should do and who should drive the car and should we call for a taxi or not. After about 30 min Michael said, I am fine I can drive the car now.so he decided to drive us home. He started the car and headed out of the parking lot. As he got into the highway and headed back to Minneapolis, He started feeling a little intoxicated, at that moment the police showed up and we saw flashing lights at behind us that very moment we realized he should not have drove us home intoxicated. We were pulled over given a sobriety test and was found to be high, which is almost more than over the legal limit. The whole time this was going on Michael realized that this was not a game and started blaming us and on the hand we blamed him for drinking and not listening to us. My friend was finally put in handcuffs and arrested. On the way to the police, Michael was very angry and ashamed of his actions, he also felt so stupid for not taking the right decision and not taking Taxi, instead of driving us home. Michael apologized to the officer and told him that he was sorry and thanked him for stopping him before he could have done something worse. When Michael was pulled into the station, and was put in a holding cell. Michael released that he had to go home, but I needed someone to take him home. The only person awake was his girlfriend. When he told her the news she was very upset. This whole thing made Michael feel horrible, ashamed and angry

The punishment Michael had received from this incident had given him a huge stress on his life. Michael had a fulltime job and a girlfriend and sick mother to take care of. So he found difficult to survive. However he got a lawyer to help him, so he can survive until his court date. The day of his hearing, the judge told Michael that he had to complete community service of 8 hours, and pay a court fees. The judge also told him if he ever violates his probation he would spend in county jail, and pay fine. In the end, Michael was in debt, paying for many things, and had to struggle to get this money.

Conclusion
The affect this had on Michael’s life was gigantic. Michael lost his girlfriend, become jobless, and had no more friends. This made him realize how much more he could have gone wrong, if the police had not stopped him on time the wright time. Michael had learned a lot from this. He learned not to hang with the wrong friends, he also learned to plan ahead if he ever wants on drinking again. One of the things he could do is to take a cab or find someone who will take him home. Michael remembers this incident every day of his life and thinks about it every time he gets behind the wheel. He also hopes that other people will learn from his mistakes.
