The company has to buy raw materials at high price and unpredictable harvesting of Cranberry affects the share value of it. The company is famous for its canned and bottled juices and has introduced diet, white Cranberry and other flavored juices.
Competitors
The company Atlantic Quench has its competitor in its every field of work from manufacturing to selling of the product i.e. Fruit juices. In the UK, the consumers are health and diet conscious, so the company has larger market for its product range. The company faces cut throat competition in the UK with Tropicana, Rubycon and The ChagWorth Valley. According to the recent report about the Fruit juice and products, Tropicana is the leading brand with around 15% market shares in the UK (Elepu, Nabisubi, and Sserunkuuma, 2016).

The companies’ strategic alliance with the supermarket give rise to the impulse buying of the fruit juices in the UK (Elepu, Nabisubi, and Sserunkuuma, 2016). A recent campaign of some study which states that the high quantity of the carbonated flavor and sugar content in the fruit juices is somewhat harmful to the health, British schools reduced the quantity of daily juice consumption of students to 150ml/day. MARKET TREND (Lee et al., 2015)

Due to certain healthy related allegation the rival company of the Atlantic quench such Tropicana and Rubycon has also lost its consumption of fruit juices by its regular customers by 9% and 4% respectively. Micro Analysis

...FNU,AQEEL UR REHMAN Business Economics-ECON545 Professor: Jhon Hinric hs 20 January 2015 Introduction My dear cousin Aly, who often switches from one business venture to the next, is now seeking to invest in two gas stations and has asked me for my educational perspective. His rationale for this business venture is that American consumers have officially accepted the insanely high gasoline prices and what he doesn’t earn in gas sales, he will compensate with convenience item sales. Willing to do anything to assist my family and also not quite sure if it is a smart investment, I told Aly I would do my research and relay my findings. In order to effectively help ALy, there are certain relevant economic principles that must be assessed and determined. The issues to be addressed when starting a business, such as a gas station, are: demand determinants, supply determinants, costs of production, pricing, and normal or economic profit or loss. Demand Determinants Before any business can begin, regardless of the type of business, the potential business owners and investors must first determine if the demand for the products and/or services the business is providing is high or low. As gas consumers, certain factors are assessed in determining their reactivity to gas prices. Gas consumers must ask themselves: What factors would make them more or less susceptible to price changes in the gasoline industry? Has he/sheresponded differently to price changes in gasoline...

The Matrix Micro Analysis

...The Matrix Micro-Analysis (39:25-43:55) (Dir. The Wachowski Brothers) The sequence comes at a point when Neo is learning the truth about his existence in a world where humans are being controlled by machines, so it is used to show his disbelief to the truth, and to contrast the world he imagined, to the real world. The scene starts with high pitched violin sounds, which immediately put the audience on edge. It also gives us a sense of the danger Neo may be in, along with the pain he's feeling. This is highlighted by the extreme close up shot of Neo's face, which clearly shows pain in his face. The camera then zooms out whilst spinning, making the audience disorientated, and mirroring the feelings of Neo at this time. Once righted, the camera circles Neo, which shows that he doesn't know where he is, however the violin stops, so we know he’s not in danger anymore. There is a white background used, which has various impacts on the audience. Firstly, it makes the setting seem safe, because it causes a lack of darkness. It also gives a sense of nothingness, which makes Neo seem marooned in a world he had no idea existed. Finally, it contrasts the darker shots a bit later, where we see the outside world, so it makes a bigger impact on the viewer. The camera tracks Morpheus, and when in front of him, pans to face Neo. This is to shows the contrast between Morpheus's strength, and Neo's vulnerability, as a long shot is used to make Neo look small and insignificant, whereas the...

...hand can modify protocols based on the environment and have a very high degree of flexibility. They can also use unconventional methods to obtain results. * Enthusiasm to work: All said and done, in the end for any rural venture to be successful, what is required is a very high degree of enthusiasm, and an urge to excel. Social work is usually characterized by long working hours, unclear goals, sensitivity towards culture, commitment to the goals. Most private ventures enter this field out of passion and hence have this in plenty. Government officials may or may not be passionate about this project, but have to work on it. This clearly translates into the results. * Need for micro-level approach: Most rural ventures are extremely people oriented and need a lot of work to be done on a micro level and at a small scale. Information

...Karides, Florida Atlantic University An economic leader in the Caribbean, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago has incorporated micro-business development as one of its main strategies to alleviate poverty and unemployment and to spawn economic growth since the late 1980s (ILO 1991, 1998, Ministry of Finance 1996). Although the discovery of natural gas in the early nineties catapulted Trinidad’s economic growth rate to four percent per annum, unemployment and poverty continue to affect a large portion of the population. The majority of the population has not benefited from Trinidad’s economic growth. Thus, the government has attempted to create “a nation of entrepreneurs” in order to relieve some of the inequality that defines the society (Ministry of Trade and Industry 1997). Trinidad’s expansion of micro-enterprise programs reflects an international trend. Endorsed by non-governmental organizations, private financial institutions, international development agencies, including the World Bank, many scholars and development practitioners also view microenterprise assistance as a panacea for Third World poverty (Johnson and Kidder, 1999; Mosley and Hulme, 1998; Dignard and Havet, 1995; Grosh and Somolekae, 1996; Rakowski, 1994). Micro-enterprise development programs generally consist of training in business skills or providing small loans or credit to micro-entrepreneurs (Dignard and Havet, 1995; International Labour Organization, 1995; Rakowski, 1994). These programs typically target...

The Day My Business Changed

...I was sitting in a Portland Oregon hotel when four words forever changed my business. The keynote speaker at the meeting, a vice president of channel had just finished a surprisingly lack-luster presentation and opened up for questions. An associate from New York City immediately stood and asked, “Do you consider us competition or partners?”  The VP answered without skipping a beat,  “You are Apple’s competition.” I guess there shouldn’t have been a gasp and rumble throughout the room, but 100+ Authorized Resellers and VARs suddenly realized that they faced an uphill battle. Many would close their doors in the months to come. As an Authorized reseller I bought our Apple branded products from first tier distributors such as Ingram Micro and Tech Data with only small price variances based on the size of the Purchase Order. Smaller PO’s were often ignored or faced delays in shipping. A big reason for the gasp in the room was the increasing trend of Apple product scarcity for resellers. While Apple’s new retail stores had full shelves we had to fight over the leftovers. Often this meant we missed out on the initial surge of purchases made by early adopters. (Eventually Apple would release game-changing products like the iPhone and not allow Apple resellers to sell them.) When Apple opened their new store 5 minutes from one of mine I was forced to pivot or close my doors. We changed from being an Apple Reseller who sold some accessories to more of a system integrator and service...

Ribbons and Bows

...Ribbons and Bows INTRODUCTION Carmen Diaz, with a ten thousand dollar loan from two of her cousins, and one thousand dollars that she invested in equity, was able to open a specialty store called Ribbons an’ Bows, Inc, which was located in Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida. Four months after opening the business, Carmen’s relatives requested a financial report, which was part of the original business arrangement. Within a short time, Carmen had expanded the business, purchased small equipment, paid wages to a part-time employee, and by all outward indicators, had been running a flourishing business. As Carmen gathered the necessary information to prepare financial statements, she started to scrutinize the transactions and was somewhat perplexed. Carmen realized that numbers were not adding up as she had anticipated. Additionally, it became questionable whether the business was operating successfully, at least when accounting principles were appropriately applied.  Statement of the Problem It was fortuitous for Carmen Diaz to have family who were supportive of her small business endeavor, thereby providing start-up funds and legal advice. Carmen’s endeavor can be recognized as a “microbusiness” operation; “microcredit”, microenterprise” and “microfinance” are terms that have been associated with microbusinesses (Datar, 2009). Clearly, Carmen would have benefitted from some professional entrepreneurial guidance that is widely available at no cost in the United States...
