Associate Superintendent Mary Jo Conery presented the academic content standards for new courses at the middle school (Mandarin Chinese: Exploring Culture) and high school (Spanish: Community and Culture) second reading.

The three proposed courses in the middle school Mandarin Chines program include: Exploring Culture for grade 6, Investigating Culture for grade 7, and Bridging Cultures for grade 8. Dr. Conery reviewed minor changes that were made to the table of contents and course curriculum scales since the first reading of the middle school (Chinese) course.
