State of Missouri V. Tyler G. Mcneely

...Name: cherry boom Case Name | STATE of Missouri V. Tyler G. McNEELY | Citation(year) | 358 S.W.3d 65 January 17, 2012 | Ct/J. | John G. Roberts Chief Justice | Pro. History | A trial judge ruled in McNeely's favor to suppress the results of the blood test, stating that administering a blood test without a warrant was a violation of the suspect's Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable searches and seizures. State prosecutors later argued that the administration of the test without a warrant was justified as blood alcohol would be metabolized with time, and a delay in obtaining a warrant would amount to destruction of evidence, citing the exigent circumstances exception in the United States Supreme Court decision Schmerber v. California. On appeal, the state appeals court stated an intention to reverse, but transferred the case directly to the Missouri Supreme Court. The Missouri Supreme Court affirmed the trial court's decision that the officer had violated McNeely's Fourth Amendment rights. | Short Facts | On October 3, 2010, at approximately 2:08 A.M., patrolman Mark Winder stopped Tyler G. McNeely for speeding. During the routine traffic stop, Winder thought McNeely showed signs of intoxication, including bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and the smell of alcohol on his person. As a result, Winder had McNeely perform multiple field-sobriety tests. According to Winder’s later testimony, because McNeely performed poorly on each of these tests, Winder...

... | cliteaaron@gmail.com April 19, 2016 Koster for Missouri Gubernatorial Campaign My name is Aaron Clite, I am a current senior here at Southeast Missouri State University. I heard that the Koster for Missouri Campaign is looking for interns this summer, despite me not being a political science major, I still have a love and passion for politics, and it is deeply rooted in me and my family. I have unique and diverse background that has made me into the person I am today. I was always told that I am not supposed to write a two page cover letter, but I hope you don’t mind as I want to share my journey with you all in hopes of attaining something with the Koster for Missouri Campaign. My history starts out as a young man when my grandparents deeply engaged me in politics, I remember the days sitting in front of the T.V. watching CNN with them, and learning the issues. I latter on as a young child would visit Jefferson City with my Grandma who is a part of the silver haired ladies legislators. In 2008 I volunteered many weekends with the Organizing for America Campaign to get President Obama elected, at that time Justin Vail was the field organizer. The dynamics of my family are what has truly engaged me to become civilly active and involved with politics. I was raised by a single mom, who has worked her way from food stamps, to now the number one selling real estate agent, out of all the Coldwell Banker’s agents in the state of Missouri. Missouri State Supreme Court Case: Dred Scott V. Sanford

...actually made it to court. Dred Scott made history happen by going to court for his freedom. His statement or what his whole is built upon was the statement that he had lived with Dr. Emerson in free territories like Illinois, that when Dr. Emerson died he Dred Scott thought he was free. The process began in 1846. Dred Scott had lost his first trial in a local St. Louis district court but, he then won his second trial, only to find out that the decision overturned by the Missouri State Supreme Court. Although he was rejected he would not give up for his and his wife’s freedom. Nothing was going to get in his way. He wasn’t alone. He had a team of people who hated slavery. Why Accounting

...UI 100 Dr. Christ McGowan 4 November 2013 Accounting At Southeast Missouri State University, I want to pursue my degree in the field of accounting. After completing the “Choose a Major” project, it made me realize even more that accounting was indeed the right career for me. I learned a great deal during this project and the project also made me think of what I would like to do in my future after college. In the accounting program, I will be able to do it, it will benefit me after graduation, and it will please me. During my high school years, I had to make a decision on what major I wanted to pursue in college. I chose to go into accounting at Southeast Missouri State. Before making that commitment, I spent quite a lot of time deciding if I thought that this was the right major for me. Many people I know in my home town majored in accounting. Some had bachelor degrees and some had master degrees. I asked many of them what I should focus on to be successful in the accounting field. They each told me to always be a stickler for details, always do well in your math classes and be very knowledgeable with your computer programs. Also, very key to an accounting position is to have excellent communication skills. They also said it would be a challenging major and to work hard and never give up. After getting all of their input, I knew I could do it. I have always been someone that has determination and does not like to fail. I will work harder at something if I realize...

Bpo Midterm

...1. Describe and evaluate Aldis current strategy. Aldis current strategy is definitely the focused low cost strategy. They do this by eliminating costs at every turn. For example they make consumers supply their own bags, they eliminate the need for cart return boys by making customers rent shopping carts for a quarter, limited selection of brands, and they typically only have one or two employees working the cash register. All of these features allow them to reduce over-all cost for them and pass some of the savings on to their customers. I believe that Aldi is targeting a niche market of price conscious consumers. They understand that it is difficult to compete with Walmart, so they offer a select group of products which they are able to sell at a low cost. Aldi does well at understanding their market niche and how to reduce costs in order to attract price-sensitive consumers. Overall I would say that Aldi’s strategy is working for them. 2. Which of the generic strategies would you use as an entry level firm in the beer industry? I believe that there is only one generic strategy that could be used to penetrate the beer industry. Since the barriers to enter the market are so high (developed factories, many established brands, and an inability to produce mass quantitates at a lower cost than competitors) the only reasonable strategy would be narrow differentiation. An entry level beer manufacturer would have to make his product stand out in order to receive any...

...me and told that he knew I could accomplish my goals. Even if sometimes I lack the faith in myself, it is nice to know that others believe that I can succeed. Overtime, I have been able to build up my confidence and not rely so much on others. I am still working on my confidence, but I know that my FFA family will be there to support me every step of the way. Throughout my journey as an FFA member I have transformed into a completely new version of myself. The experiences and knowledge that Mr, Getlle has shared with me has truly changed me as an individual. I definitely do not say it enough, but I owe Mr. Gettle so much gratitude for everything he has done for me. The lessons he has taught me has given me enough confidence to run for a State FFA officer position this coming year. Overall, I feel that my FFA journey can be summed up by one quote, “We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.” ...

Acting Locally Paper

...Acting Locally Paper Crystal Dillon-Reeves BIO/289 February 25,2013 Dennis Kostac Acting Locally Paper The Shut-In Mountain Fen has some of the wettest and the driest habitats that are founf in the state of Missouri. This particular wetland fen has the most diverse ecological community and habitats found in the state. The Shut-In Mountain Fens preserve features of more than 15 types of fen communities ("Missouri Shut-In Fens", 2010). It is located in the Ozark Mountains in the southern central part of the state. In 2010, researchers found the rare carnivorous palnt called the Small Bladderwort growing here. The plant is an aquatic plant species that floats on the ponds, lakes and marshes with almost no root system. This animal eating plant feeds off of aquatic invertebrates, such as mosquito larvae, protozoans and tiny crustaceans. That is not the only thing that has been found in the plants traps though. Small tadpoles and newly hatched fish have also been found to fall prey to this carnivorous plant. The Small Bladderwort is Missouri’s only carnivorous plant. A plant eating animals is a rare quality, so to find one around where you live is an exciting thing. The plant does not really have an intrinsic value. It is mainly just about what they are and what they are about. It is not thought that this plant has any beneficial use to humans, other than the plant is hughly unique. The Shut-In Mountain fen is also the only home to the Current River Saddled Darter. This fish species...
