In the memoir “Night” by Elie Wiesel addresses an experience young Elie and his father dealt with in a concentration camp during the time of the Holocaust. The Holocaust was a mass killing of people lead by Adolf Hitler based on their beliefs ,mainly the Jewish people after World War 2. Wiesel and his father were going through a selection. A selection is when you have to prove yourself useful to stay alive in the story “Night”.The selection had a major impact because it was used all over the camp and it frightened everyone because there was no way to avoid it.
