More than four billion people - and more than half of the world population - have mobile phones. More and more people now switch from normal phones to Internetenabled smart phones whose performance is as high as that of a computer.

How the smartphone developed
Although devices combining telephony and computing were conceptualized as early as 1973 and were offered for sale beginning in 1994, the term "smartphone" did not appear until 1997, when Ericsson described its GS 88 "Penelope" concept as a "Smart Phone". The first cellular phone to incorporate PDA features was an IBM prototype developed in 1992 and demonstrated that year at the COMDEX computer industry trade show. A refined version of the product was marketed to consumers on 16 August 1994 by BellSouth under the name Simon Personal Communicator. The Simon was the first device that can be properly referred to as a "smartphone", even though that term was not yet coined. In addition to its ability to make and receive cellular phone calls, Simon was also able to send and receive facsimiles, emails and pages through its touch screen display. Simon included many applications including an address book, calendar, appointment scheduler, calculator, world time clock, games, electronic note pad, handwritten annotations and standard and predictive touchscreen keyboards.

...‘8-second rule’ of the Internet and why is it important to m-commerce technology? We can define the 8-second rule as an old rule of the Internet. Also, it is the rough unit of measure of the performance of a web server. In a fact, if the loading time of a web page exceeded eight seconds, Internet users would not wait any longer while Internet users have reliable Internet connections, which allow them to upload almost all websites in less than a second. M-commerce is the ability to conduct a transaction while using a mobile. There are two frequent types of usage of the m-commerce .Firstly; a mobile user can buy something online from his mobile web connection. Secondly, he can use his mobile device as a way of physical payment in a shop which thus replaces money, checks or credit card. 2. ...Personality of Sir Fazle Abed Extraversion: Sir Fazle Abed is very friendly to his subordinates. Sir Abed was eloquent but soft-spoken, almost surprisingly so for the leader of such a large international development organization, illustrating the qualities of ‘quiet leadership.’ He was inspiring in his humility and down to earth nature, without a trace of arrogance in his demeanor. And perhaps most of all, he was open about the challenges BRAC has faced and continues to face over the years. An intern asked Sir Abed how he feels 40 years later, having built such a large and incredible organization. Did he feel proud of all he had achieved? His response was that BRAC still has a long ways to go in improving development in Bangladesh; their work is far from over. He was glad, certainly, to note BRAC’s progress – but recognized how much more there is to do in Bangladesh. He was focused on the future, on improving the organization, on pushing to be better. He realized that BRAC could not afford complacency. Agreeableness Fazle Abed sir is highly agreeable person because he meets with his subordinates when he is going to take any decision. These principles have helped BRAC constantly innovate and never take its progress for granted, and I believe that these leadership qualities are essential for the next generation of leaders in social justice, human rights, and development efforts. Conscientiousness He is very conscientious person. He is very responsible of his work. He tries...

...University Introduction Commerce is the conducting of business; it could be buying, selling, marketing, or providing services. The newer forms of commerce are electronic commerce (e-commerce) and mobile commerce (m-commerce). The types of e-commerce are business-to-business, business-to-consumer, and consumer-to-consumer. The traditional commerce practice required consumers to buy at a retail location, order from catalogs over the phone, or fill out order forms to mail in. These processes where lengthy and inconvenient to consumers needing products fast or even business needing a rush order could still take weeks. E-commerce emerged eliminating the long processes of ordering and waiting on receipt of order, then processing; to just clicking buttons and shipment within hours or days. E-commerce and M-commerce have many benefits to businesses and consumers but as with any great thing there are challenges. It is also the biggest e-commerce company in China dominating more than 80% of the country’s e-commerce market share. Alibaba operates a similar business model to eBay by providing technology infrastructure and marketing reach in the form of online marketplaces for merchants to conduct online transactions with cosumers and businesses. Unlike Amazon, Alibaba does not hold or sell any merchandise. Instead, Alibaba plays the role of a middleman to connect buyers and sellers and facilitating the transactions between them (MarketWatch: Alibaba, 2015). Thus, purchase of the physical merchandise is made directly from the 3rd party businesses (eCommerceFuel: Alibaba vs Amazon, 2014). Supporting Alibaba’s business through maintaining buyer’s confidence is its secured online payment platform, Alipay that provides escrow services. Alipay manages the bulk of the transactions that take place on Alibaba’s China marketplaces. Alibaba operates both China and global marketplaces. Its China marketplaces include Taobao, Tmall and Juhuasuan whose presence continues to dominate China’s e-commerce marketshare.
