Were Mongols really that barbaric or were they more civilized? To my opinion I really think even though they had some cultural spread and technology growth they were barbaric. Also the Mongols killed many people and burned cities which make them barbaric. The Mongols even started as barbarians they were nomadic hunter-gathers not civilized people. Also the Mongols killed many people ruthlessly shown in the chart in Document 4 one example would be Kozelsk where there were no survivors. In Document 5 an image shows us Mongols killing survivors and burying them alive or shooting to death. Also in Document 2 it says if ten leaders run away then the 100 men under control of the ten leaders all get executed another sign of barbaric activity. Document
