Introduction Isaac Corporation is an international company that is dedicated to the production and distribution of entertainment services such as board games and video games. These entertainment products range from family household board games to adult oriented drinking games for bars. Isaac Corp has a strong presence in the United States and in Europe with the main headquarters located in Venice Beach, California. The company counts with 70 staff members in the United States and 30 in London, England. CEO, Isaac Calderon has noticed that productivity has gone down a total of 10% in the last quarter due to an increasing demand of products. CEO has decided to implement strategies that will elevate productivity to 100% and at the same time keep all staff members happy and working. In order to do this, Isaac Calderon assembled a team of 4 persons including himself to come up with ideas that would motivate employs to work and be satisfied with themselves at the same time. CEO has made it clear and his goal that productivity and employ satisfaction must be met in a period of no more than two months if not significant losses will be reflected in the company’s financial reports. Isaac has carefully selected his three team members upon their job descriptions, qualifications they possess and what they have to offer to the company.

CEO
Chief executive officer, Isaac Calderon founded the company back in 2009 as soon as he graduated with a major in International Business and a minor in finance. His vision was to create a company that offered entertainment services/products to all kinds of market segments. His mission is to bring joy, satisfaction and fun entertainment to all households in America and England. Isaac Calderon oversees all operations conducted by the company in both countries and is in charge of making all important decisions that affect the company takes. CEO’S responsibilities are the following: * Takes important decisions that may or may not affect the company and its employees. * Is in charge of overseeing all operations in both countries where company has presence. * Handles directly with important clients and potential future clients. * Maintain goals and at the same time create new ones. * Work with the rest of the staff as an equal and not just ass a someone who gives orders. * Establish a harmonious work environment and motivate all employees.

The CEO came up with a very curious strategy to elevate work productivity and at the same time to eliminate any work related stress among employees. Isaac implemented a new rule in which every day all employees have the choice of taking a 1hr nap to get some rest or to go to work an extra hour to get a 5 dollar bonus for every extra hour worked during the week.
Human Resources
The first team member CEO Calderon chose was the director of the human resources department Mr. Gilbert Verdugo. Mr. Verdugo was chosen because of his outstanding work in the company and because Mr. Verdugo is a valuable asset to the company. Gilbert has been with the company since the very beginning and is a longtime friend of CEO Calderon. He graduates from university with a major in Business administration and a minor in human development. He is the head of the human resources department and his responsibilities are the following: * In charge of evaluating all employees productivity. * Has final say in whether to hire or not a promising candidate. * Takes care of any conflict or problem between employees or any negative situation that may arise in just one certain employee. * Handle all administrative matters regarding employees and work. * Conduct annual elections pertaining to health care coverage. * Implement training programs for old and new employees.

Mr. Verdugo came up with an interesting strategy to motivate employees and elevate productivity at the same time. The strategy consists in promoting all employees that meet a certain required hours of work in a certain amount of time in a monthly basis. These employees have the benefit of enjoying special privileges only offered to hard workers like an all paid weekend vacation for two in a fancy hotel by the beach courtesy of Isaac Corp.
Marketing
The second team member CEO Calderon chose was the head of the marketing department Miss. Alejandra Anieva. Miss Anieva has only been with Isaac Corp for 3 years but has quickly reached her position due to her valuable marketing skills to the company and her insatiable need to better herself in the marketing area. Miss Anieva graduated University with a major in Marketing and a minor in a minor in computer science. Miss Anievas responsibilities as head of her department are the following: * Identify potential future customers. * Develop pricing strategies that in the future will elevate the companies’ profits. * Carefully monitor trends so that the marketing department identifies the need of new products or services. * Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors. * Coordinate all the marketing team in order to launch a new ad campaign onto the selected market. * Develop pricing strategies for a product.

Miss Anieva suggested in her strategy to implement an ad campaign which consists of motivational posters spread all over the companies’ installations. These posters will be portrayed by the company’s employees so that every time they see themselves on the posters they will get a feeling of auto satisfaction and are motivated to work.
Accounting
The final member that was chosen to propose a motivational strategy for employees was the head of the accounting and finance department, Mr. Rodrigo Diaz. Mr. Diaz is the only team member that isn’t located in the U.S branch of Isaac Corp. Mr. Diaz takes care of all financial aspects from his location in London, England and is in weekly contact with CEO Calderon via Skype. Acct. Diaz graduates university with a major in accounting and masters in economics. Acct. Diaz’s responsibilities are the following: * Verifying the integrity and accuracy of financial operations made in both countries. * Safeguard company’s assets. * Develop efficient business processes to record revenue. * Oversee all major contracts alongside CEO Calderon. * Lead strategic planning for accounting policies. * Maintain internal controls over financial aspects.

Acct. Diaz’s suggested that in order to motivate employees and elevate productivity, the company should offer a barbeque for employees. Isaac Corp would offer a barbeque in its installations in both countries every Friday after work. The barbeque would include food and alcoholic beverages as well as entertainment such as a live band or fun activities. CEO Calderon orderd Acct. Diaz’s to go ahead with this strategy and create a budget that wouldn’t cost the company to much money.

Conclusion
CEO Calderon’s team suggested very interesting and effective strategies. All strategies took immediate effect on July 19, 2013 and the results were fenomenal. Company productivity went back to 100% and employees motivation was elevated immediately. All employees in both countries enjoyed CEO’S Calderon new rule. Half of the employees opted to take the one hour nap while the other half worked the extra hour for the end of the week bonus.
Mr. Verdugo’s strategy of promoting employees for every certain hours of work they meet was very successful in elevating productivity and motivation. Although not all employees where promoted many continued to work hard because the promotion was their main motivation.
Miss Anievas strategy was the least effective. Isaac Corp employees did not respond to well to the motivational posters. Some employees didn’t even notice them and the ones who did showed a small increase in productivity in both countries.
Acct. Diaz’s strategy was the most effective of all strategies in both countries. Studies showed that most employees worked harder every weekday in order to receive attend the weekly barbeque. Employees in the United States where eager for Friday to come just because of the barbeque and live band. Employees in the United Kingdom where eager for Friday to come because the employees wanted to drink for free.
Productivity and employee motivation incremented in a period of 1 month and half .
