Til kernestoffet hører det sproglige, det litterære og det mediemæssige stofområde, som skønsmæssigt vægtes i forholdet 2:3:1. De tre stofområder indgår i et tæt samspil i undervisningen.

Det sproglige stofområde
Det sproglige stofområde har som sit genstandsfelt et genremæssigt varieret udvalg af tekster, talte såvel som trykte, hvorpå der kan anlægges en sproganalytisk tilgang.
Her arbejdes blandt andet med:

– sprogiagttagelse, herunder grammatik og stilistik
– argumentationsanalyse
– retorisk analyse
– kommunikationsanalyse.

Det litterære stofområde
Det litterære stofområde har som sit genstandsfelt et historisk bredt og genremæssigt varieret udvalg af primært skønlitterære tekster. Teksterne består af dansksprogede tekster suppleret med norske og svenske tekster på originalsprog og verdenslitteratur i oversættelse. Teksterne læses i en litteratur-, kultur- eller bevidsthedshistorisk kontekst.
I stofområdet indgår:

– tekster fra tiden før 1700, herunder saga, folkeeventyr og folkevise
– tekster fra oplysningstid, romantik, romantisme og naturalisme
– tekster fra 1900-tallet, herunder realistiske og modernistiske tekster
– tekster fra 2000-tallet, herunder fra de seneste fem år
– mindst fem værker inden for kategorierne roman, drama, novellesamling, digtsamling og ræsonnerende prosa. Værkerne skal have en historisk og genremæssig spredning. To af værkerne læses individuelt i tilknytning til et fagligt forløb. Eleverne dokumenterer mundtligt eller skriftligt deres arbejde med hvert af disse værker.

Det mediemæssige stofområde
Det mediemæssige stofområde har som sit genstandsfelt medietekster i trykte såvel som elektroniske medier, herunder aviser, radio, tv, film, websites og interaktive medier.
I stofområdet indgår:

– nyhedstekster
– dokumentartekster
– fiktionstekster
– visuelle udtryksformer
– et værk i form af et større afrundet medieprodukt.

Her arbejdes blandt andet med:

– nyhedskriterier
– fiktions- og faktakoder i stofområdets teksttyper.

Mundtlig og skriftlig udtryksfærdighed
I denne del af kernestoffet indgår:

– et forløb om mundtlighed
– et forløb om skriftlighed
– mundtlige oplæg og tekstproduktion.

4.2. Prøveformer
Der afholdes en centralt stillet skriftlig prøve og en mundtlig prøve.
Den skriftlige prøve
Prøven har en varighed af fem timer. Eksaminanden vælger mellem et antal opgaver stillet på grundlag af et tekst-/billedmateriale. Opgaverne stilles i forlængelse af fagets tre stofområder.
Den mundtlige prøve
Eksaminationstiden er ca. 30 minutter pr. eksaminand, og der gives ca. 60 minutters forberedelsestid. Prøvematerialet vælges af eksaminator.
Eksamensspørgsmålene fordeles skønsmæssigt over det sproglige, det litterære og det mediemæssige stofområde i størrelsesordenen 2:3:1.
Eksamensspørgsmålet har et fokus i et af stofområderne og består af en eller flere tekster samt instrukser der angiver, hvordan eksaminanden skal arbejde med teksterne. Teksternes samlede omfang må ikke overskride otte normalsider eller 12 minutters afspillet tekst. En normalside består af 1300 bogstaver, svarende til ca. 1350 tegn. Såvel kendte som ukendte tekster kan indgå, men mindst én tekst skal være ukendt.
Tekster må gerne genbruges, hvis de tilhørende instrukser ikke er identiske.
Eksaminanden indleder med et mundtligt oplæg på ca. 10 minutter. Eksaminationen former sig videre som en faglig samtale om det trukne eksamensspørgsmål. I samtalen perspektiveres til det øvrige læste stof.
4.3. Bedømmelseskriterier
Bedømmelsen er en vurdering af, i hvilket omfang eksaminandens præstation lever op til de faglige mål, som de er angivet i pkt. 2.1.
Ved den skriftlige prøvelægges der vægt på eksaminandens færdighed i:

– skriftlig fremstilling, herunder genre- og formidlingsbevidsthed
– at besvare den stillede opgave
– relevant anvendelse af danskfaglig viden og metode.

Ved den mundtlige prøvelægges der vægt på eksaminandens færdighed i:

– mundtlig fremstilling
– at besvare den stillede opgave
– relevant anvendelse af danskfaglig viden og metode.

Ved begge prøver gives én karakter ud fra en helhedsbedømmelse af eksaminandens præstation.

...O'Dowd at Barnehurst Hospital in Bexley, Kent on 14 June 1961, to Gerald and Dinah O'Dowd, who were originally from Thurles, County Tipperary in Ireland. He is one of six children. His siblings are Richard, Kevin, David, Gerald, and Siobhan. He was a follower of the New Romantic movement which was popular in Britain in the early 1980s. George and his friend Marilyn were regulars at The Blitz, a trendy London nightclub run by Steve Strange of the group Visage. George and Marilyn also worked at the nightclub as cloakroom attendants. Boy George's androgynous style of dressing caught the attention of music executive Malcolm McLaren, who arranged for George to perform with the group Bow Wow Wow, featuring Annabella Lwin. Boy George's tenure with Bow Wow Wow proved quite popular, much to the dismay of Lwin, the group's actual lead singer. His association ended soon afterwards and he started his own group with bassist Mikey Craig. Next came Jon Moss (who had drumming stints with The Damned and Adam and the Ants), and then Roy Hay. ...Major Themes in 'Much Ado About Nothing' Shakespeare’s treatment of love in Much Ado About Nothing differs from his other romantic comedies. Sure, it shares the same stagy plot, which finishes with the lovers finally getting back together, but Shakespeare also mocks the conventions of courtly love which was popular at the time. Although Claudio and Hero’s courtly marriage is central to the plot, their relationship is the least interesting thing in the play. Instead, our attention is drawn to Benedick and Beatrice’s unromantic backbiting – it is this relationship that seems more believable and enduring. By contrasting these two different types of love, Shakespeare manages to poke fun at the conventions of courtly, romantic love. Claudio uses highly contrived language when speaking of love, which is undermined by Benedick and Beatrice’s banter: “Can the world buy such a Jewel?” says Claudio of Hero. “My dear Lady disdain! Are you yet living?” says Benedick of Beatrice. As an audience, we are supposed to share Benedick’s frustration with Claudio’s transparent, pompous rhetoric of love: “He was wont to speak plain and to the purpose, like an honest man and a soldier … His words are a very fantastical banquet, just so many strange dishes.” Deception As the title suggests, there is a lot of fuss over very little in the play – after all, if Claudio wasn’t so impetuous, Don John’s rather weak plan wouldn’t have worked at all!
