From time to time you’ll just see the tip of my dogs head as she jumps above the top of the grass. Beyond the grass is a path where cyclists race along. All you hear as they pass by is the music blaring from their headphones as they compete individually against each other. Walking over the path I move closer to the edge of the cliff so that I can take in the spectacle of what this place is. From the top of the cliff the sand sparkles as the sunlight briefly breaks through the thick layer of cloud overhead. The light hits pale white cliff face and reflects off as if it has hit a mirror. I look down and see the small jagged rocks opening up to create a pathway down to the glistening sand. My dog sprints pass my leg with one goal on making it to the sand before me. I step down after my dog and the wind suddenly dies down. The heat from the sun intensifies and feeling of warm rushes through my body. The smell is now my addiction as I inhale more air with every breath. As my foot hits the sand it sinks down making it hard for me to walk, with every step that I take further from the cliff towards the water the wind strengthens.
