There has been many triumphant events or moments in my life. A triumph can be defined as a great victory or achievement. A major triumph that occurred in my life at a young age is learning to ride a bicycle. It was not only a new way to have fun but much more. It's a way I face any challenge life throws my way.

I can still remember it like it was yesterday. I was about six or seven years old when I rode my first bicycle, and the day I learn to ride is very memorable for me. I began to realize that the other kids to ride big bikes and I was the only one still riding the small one. I knew it was time for me to learn to ride a two wheeler also known as a big kid bike.

It was my parents and my brothers who taught me how to ride a bicycle. My mom and I have been practicing for a few weeks but only with training wheels. This day was different. My dad said today the training wheels are coming off. My brothers and I went to my dad's shop auto repair shop to hang …show more content…
I thought to myself I want to learn how to ride that. After that I decided to learn how to ride a bike. All the other kids knew how to ride a bike so why couldn't I. My family was very kind and patient with me , I thank them for their patience and kindness towards me because I know it took a long time.

I love riding bikes now. I like to just ride around the block in the afternoon. A few days ago, I took a bike ride by myself and it all the memories back. When I think of those times, one of the most memorable childhood moments would be learning to ride bike. I think everything will or should experience this in their lifetime.

Learning to ride a bike not only represents me growing up, but it also help me establish the foundation on which my existence is based around. Learning to ride a two wheeler show the new way to have fun and also demonstrated how determination and perseverance help overcome any challenge life may throw at

The Future of Motorcycles and Atv’s

...The Future of Motorcycles and ATV’s I decided to write my research paper on today’s new alternate powered motorcycles and ATV’s. I have been riding and racing sense I was 8 years old. I have seen a lot of changes with motorcycles and ATV’s over the years. I started out riding two-stroke motorcycles, then four-strokes and now I’m told that electric motorcycles will be on the tracks in the not too distant future. Every year I enjoy taking annual trips to Colorado and Oklahoma. It’s refreshing to get off the motocross track and enjoy riding some very fun OHV trails. My favorite part about riding trails is seeing all the beautiful scenery. But it seems every time I go trail riding, my group and I get yelled at by someone claiming that “were are destroying their trails” and that “were just making noise.” It irritates me that there are riders out there that don’t follow the trail rules, but I am not one of them. We stay on the trail, we are respectful, our bikes and ATV’s are under the required decibels and we love the land we ride on just as much as they do. I’m glad to see our sport is getting a lot better about being more environmentally friendly with advances When I first got involved with the sport of motocross in 1997, you had two different types of dirt bikes and ATV’s to choose from, the two-stroke or the four-stroke engine. The two-stroke motorcycles dominated the motocross classes because of their high performance and lightweight motors. Unfortunately, these...

Using Perceptual Maps in Marketing Paper

...Using Perceptual Maps in Marketing Paper MKT/421 Using Perceptual Maps in Marketing Paper The manufacturing company that makes more than 200,000 cycles each year is called Thorr Motorcycles. They have a prize bike called the Cruiser Thor. This is a billion dollar company which provides training and services along with software packages which come from the dealer. They also sell other cycles with other merchandise that includes shoe, leather items, helmets, etc. In addition, customers can choose to purchase more services which include motorcycle training for inexperienced riders or they have the option to rent the bike. Situations, Solutions and Results In the first situation the numbers at Thorr are decreasing due to the company having older customers and having those who have begun to lose interest. The young consumers are more interested in bikes that are not too expensive because their disposable income is not that large. Thorr must now develop a marketing strategy which will cause a reverse in the decline. The task is to determine what the position of the company market is in by working with the perceptual map. In addition, a selection of four parameters which are fundamentally significant to that industry and show the largest capability for Cruiser Thorr, is necessary. I chose Price Cool, Quality Engineering, and Lifestyle Image as my fundamental parameters. I realize that instead of choosing cool, that services offered might have been the better choice. It is...

Dirt

...I was choossen by the Dirt Bikes’ management team, because they are concerned about how much money is being spent on communicating with people inside their organization as well as outside the organization. They are also concerned as to how much money is being spent to obtain information regarding productions in the motorcycle enterprise and the global economy. Now Dirt Bikes provides Internet access to all employees who use desktop computers with in their company, and I have been asked to investigate how Internet tools and technology could be used to help Dirt Bikes’ employees communicate and obtain information more efficiently. In doing so I will also cover the benefits of implementing Intranets in Dirt Bikes’ departments ofmarkting, human resources, production, sales, and manufacturing .   in Addition, I will also suggest other tools on the internet that are going to help the organization as well as the benefits of providing wireless access to Dirt Bikes’ employees and its effect on the organization. Our goal is to have the company be more productive and in the end ultimately saveing time and money. . My Recommendations Since we already know that the Dirt Bikes company provides Internet access to the employees using desktop computers, I feel that it makes more sense to create a private network while using there existing network connections as well as creating the Intranet that supports wireless technology as well. basically an Intranet is the network of networks which...

Jet Task 2

...A1. Budget planning is in essence the process of forecasting and determining a company’s financial goals for both the long term and short term. Competition Bike, Inc. has come up with a budget schedule for year 9 operations. Based on its previous years and past financial numbers there are several areas of concern. First research and development is a concern because in the years that they invested more money in research and development it seemed sales where at its highest. Research and development is what keeps you ahead of the competition and what helps you keep your place in the market. By always having the latest and greatest in products and technology you will help secure and keep more customers and retain your spot in the niche market. For year 7, $98, 280 was spent on research and development and that is the year when the company made the most in sales. In year 8 the budget dropped by $16,000 to only $82284. This is the year were sales decreased and was stagnant. For year 9 the budget is only $85,232 not too much higher from the year before. This amount in my opinion is too low because if they expect to beat year 8 sales and make up for their losses they need to invest a little more in research and development. This will help in securing new products and new customers. Second Competition Bikes has accounts and notes payable at $229,003 for year 9. Although no one wants a lot of liabilities some are a good sign that business in doing well because there were suppliers to...

...Michelle L. Stotts, Charles B. Shrader and Samuel M. DeMarie Victory: The New American Motorcycle Celebrates Its First Decade on the Road Now that we are in our 10th year and have a fairly complete line of premium cruiser and touring motorcycles, it is clear what we stand for, and who we appeal to most. Victory stands for class-leading quality, innovation and style. Victory is American and new- always looking forward. We are all about the future of American motorcycles. - Mark Blackwell, Victory Vice President1 Mark Blackwell, vice president in charge of Victory Motorcycle at Polaris Industries, glanced up at company headquarters in Medina, Minnesota as he pulled his gleaming cruiser into the parking lot. An accomplished rider himself, winning the national 500cc motocross championship and being inducted into the American Motorcycle Association’s Hall of Fame, he knew his company’s bikes had come pretty far since they were first introduced to the riding public in 1998. With the development of the new Vision, a luxury touring bike, and the steady release of aggressively-styled cruisers, the company had continually innovated throughout its first decade in business. Yet Blackwell pondered the recurring questions facing Victory Motorcycles and Polaris. He wondered if the initial decision to diversify into heavyweight motorcycles was the right road to take. He realized Polaris took a big risk by moving into motorcycles and going up against the recognized powerhouses in the industry...
