My first major travel experience is to come to New Orleans, Louisiana United States of America to study after spending eight (8) year in a Nigerian University (University of Maiduguri) without graduating. Everything is entirely different in this part of the world. Unlike some parts of Nigeria that currently does not want westernization including western education. I clearly see what makes America great and New Orleans the crescent city facing the Mississippi river and the birth place of jazz with rich culture. ...My first experience at a classical concert took place on Friday, November 14, 2014 at The Perelman Theater. I got to see the quartet Quatuor Ebene. The hour and fifteen minute performance was very enjoyable. The Perelman Theater is a 650 seat recital hall. The room is designed to create an intimate feel with 3 levels of seating. The room has amazing acoustics. Chairs in the first level of seating are able to retract in order to create a deeper stage, complete fly-loft, and orchestra pit. I sat in the third level of the theater due to my tickets being college priced tickets. Although I was higher up I was still able to be very involved in the performance. ...One day, while my I was at my dad’s house for a weekend, I got to try something new, and scary at the same time. The house my dad lived in with his girlfriend, Abbey, had a yard that was about 2 acres. There was a big dirt track around the entire yard from where her son, William, rode four-wheelers around with his uncle.
