My Personal Plan
GEN/195
26 June 2013

My goals for myself are to keep working in my current profession and get my degree in business management in the service sector. As I reflect on how I want to achieve my goals as a student and for my future I must look back and see what I have already accomplished. Some of the goals have been achievable while others have been set for future dates. I always knew what I wanted to do in my life ever since I graduated high school.

I would like to successfully complete all my classes necessary to obtain my bachelors degree. There are many goals and steps to take before the ultimate goal is conquered. For instance, goals such as studying, time management, write papers, and collaborating as a team. I hope to learn and even be reminded of what my own kids give me, and also the knowledge I have from my military achievements and apply them now to college goals.

First, while attending college I will be learning how to better manage my time with school, work, and my kids. Going to work fulltime and fulfilling the kids needs can be very time consuming for all the assignment and projects that need to be completed for school. Time management is a top priority and a responsibility that I need to use effectively to increase my knowledge in attaining my degree.

Next, the future outlook for me in the business management is very much favorable. The industry will experience an uprising in shifts both economically and structurally, leading to thousands of jobs for business management related candidates. The business industry is a very demanding and high-energy industry, so I feel this is my opportunity to obtain my degree in business management. In conclusion, in a few years I will reflect upon this experience of education in business management. I will have increased my knowledge

Personal Narrative: My Plan To Double Major In Music Education

...I plan to double major in music education and voice performance at UMKC. My first major in music education combines two subjects about which I am deeply passionate: music and helping others be successful. For the past year, I have tutored students with special needs. Helping these students overcome their personal challenges has fostered my desire to be an educator. I learned to praise even the smallest successes while helping them mitigate their innate disadvantages. Based on their individual challenges,...

I want to choose history particularly because of how much I loved the AP United States history course I took in tenth grade. I never wanted it to end. It is financially one of the best colleges I can choose because I get a major discount due to the fact that my Father, David Hull, works there. I also am very much at odds with leaving the state without my parents, as I am very close to them. Hawaii Pacific University fits all my needs in those regards. Introduction Personal development skill plays a significant role in individual’s life. Especially in current society, when studying and working environment become more competitive and tense. Additionally, employees in many big companies now have more power to contribute their ideas for decision making process (Charan, 1999). Therefore, it is very necessary for me to constantly develop my personal skills. As a student, there are many ways for me to enhance these skills such as: classrooms, clubs, student professional organizations, athletic teams, residence halls, the Clarion community, my home community, internship programs, summer jobs… (Humpfreys, 2004). However, just focusing on developing personal skills is not enough. Assessing and reviewing the development of each skill are also significant. In other words, I should have my own personal development plan which will help me to control my progress. The plan will help me review which achievement I have gained, as well as support me to set further goals for making continuous...

Training Development

...and samples Personal development plan final reflection essay Personal Development Plan Final Reflection Essay In my previous personal development plan, I had made several initiatives through which I hoped to achieve certain goals both in academics and in social life. In the previous personal development plan, I had embarked more on the process that I believe would help me to think about my own learning, performance and achievements as well as to plan my personal, educational, social and career development. Since I made the plan within the PDP, there are certain changes that I have witnessed happening in my career, social and learning areas. For example, I have noted that for the last one semester, I have improved in a number of areas that I had pointed in my last PDP. In academics, I have achieved a lot, as my average grades have improved from the previous B+ to an A. This is primarily because I was able to develop clear SWOT analysis, in which I recognized my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats not only in academics, but also in my social life, extra-curricular activities and any other activity I took. With this plan, I worked hard to perfect my strengths, correct the weaknesses and make them my strong points, utilize the opportunities placed within my abilities and finally recognize and avoid any negative effect that was posed by the threats in the SWOT analysis (Bolton 2010). From these considerations, I recognized that some of my strengths were...

After evaluating my personal responsibilities and prioritizing them, I have developed a plan to keep my college experience a successful one. Personal responsibility to me means taking ownership of actions and accepting any positive or negative consequences that may be involved. This could be keeping track of important task to ensure that they are completed in a timely manner and to the best of my ability. For example, knowing that an assignment for classed is due, and waiting until the last minute to get it done. Neglecting this personal responsibility could mean not putting forth your best effort due to rushing. Some consequences for this action could mean not getting a grade that could have been achieved by spending a little more time throughout the week, or even worse not completing it at all. Personal Responsibility

...Personal Responsibility Deljim Elimy GEN/200 September 23, 2013 Kasey Patterson Personal Responsibility What is personal responsibility? What does it mean to have personal responsibility? How do I practice personal responsibility? These are questions that have boggled the mind of every individual at different stages of their lives. The definition of personal responsibility varies from person-to-person, but the popular meaning focuses on the concept that every action has a consequence. Personal responsibility was embedded on my mind at an early age. It was part of my upbringing and learning process. I can still hear my mother saying: “If you do not do your homework, you cannot watch TV”, “If you do not clean your room, you cannot go outside.” Possessing the understanding of how actions have consequences, either positive or negative, is essential to thrive and achieve personal, professional, and academic success. As I matured and developed my intellect, the meaning of personal responsibility became more than just making myself accountable, it also includes doing what is correct, taking charge of my life, and placing the blame on myself for the drawbacks and repercussions that my actions brings. Achieving success in my academic, professional, and individual goals depends on the acceptance of personal responsibility with my education, family, community, and health. The first step to achieve success and change my personal and social condition is to acknowledge the important...
