Descartes published many works of mathematics and philosophy throughout his life. In one of his most important works, Meditations on First Philosophy, he added a number of arguments for and against skepticism. Skepticism is the doubt about the truth of something and that absolute knowledge is not possible. Like past famous philosophers before him, Plato and Parmenides, Descartes believed that "evidence from the senses was inadequate to prove the kind of justification required for a claim of knowledge." In the first of Rene Descartes Meditations, he provided arguments for the skeptical position. He realized that, based off his senses, he had accepted many false opinions as true and that everything he afterwards built upon his opinions could only be doubtful and uncertain. ...Learning effectively through methods There are many process that we all go through in order to learn. Everyone one is different, everyone has a unique way of learning or multiple ways of learning. It is very common for someone to have multiple ways of learning. I’m going to describe how as a student, I go about learning. One of my many ways of learning would be repetition. I lost my sovereignty, power over something, because of a postcard I received in the mail from Philadelphia, which did not look the same in person. The postcard had beautiful, old buildings and clear blue sky. When we went a few weeks later the buildings were just old and the sky was not clear.
