If your family was in a difficult situation, would you risk your life for them? Would you save them even if that meant putting your life in danger? Loving your family is important and being loyal to family can bring you closer to them. Love and loyalty can make you do crazy things for the people that you care about. Rikki-Tikki is a loyal and loving character in the story. For instance, Nag tries to kill Rikki-Tikki’s family and to save his family, Rikki-Tikki kills Nag. (par.58) This proves that he is loving and caring and will do anything to protect his family. Rikki-Tikki took a risk to save his family even if it meant putting his life in danger. In addition, an evil character named Nagaina tries to kill Rikki-Tikki’s family, but Rikki-Tikki saves them. (par.83-86) This proves that Rikki-Tikki is loyal. He saved the people that took care of him in the beginning of the story even though they weren’t his real family. He loves his family and is loyal to them. In …show more content…
In the story, Nagaina tells her husband Nag to kill Rikki-Tikki’s family so that they can have the garden to themselves. (par.49-52) This proves that Nagaina is Selfish. She wants to kill an innocent family so that she and her husband can have the garden all to themselves. This character trait is different from Rikki-Tikki because Rikki-Tikki is loyal. Rikki-Tikki would never do that to anyone. In addition, Nag was killed and Nagaina wanted revenge. She wanted to kill the family for killing Nag. (par.84) This proves that Nagaina is determined. She wanted Nag to kill Rikki-Tikki’s family but he didn’t succeed, so she decided to kill the family herself.
