I was a foolish little child
Crazy things I used to do
And all the pain I put you through
Mama now I'm here for you
For all the times I made you cry
The days I told you lie
Now it's time for you to rise
For all the things you sacrificed

[Chorus:]
Oh, if I could turn back time rewind
If I could make it undone
I swear that I would
I would make it up to you
Mum I'm all grown up now
It's a brand new day
I'd like to put a smile on your face every day
Mum I'm all grown up now
And it's not too late
I'd like to put a smile on your face every day

And now I finally understand
Your famous line
About the day I'd face in time
'Cause now I've got a child of mine
And even though I was so bad
I've learned so much from you
Now I'm trying to do it too
Love my kid the way you do

[Chorus]

You know you are the number one for me [x3]
Oh, oh, number one for me
There's no one in this world that can take your place
Oh, I'm sorry for ever taking you for granted, ooh
I will use every chance I get
To make you smile, whenever I'm around you
Now I will try to love you like you love me
Only God knows how much you mean to me

[Chorus]

You know you are the number one for me [x3]

Oh, oh, number one for

Islam and Music

...By: Syed Masrur Question: salamu alaykum warahmatu allah wa barakatoh, Hello my fellow brothers and sisters. I have an issue that is tearing me apart. Not because it is a match for my love to islam, but rather the controversy around it. I am a practicing muslim, alhamdullillah. My wife is a reverted muslim, since she was 14 mashalla. My life revolves around what Islam says, as much as possible. During my teenage period I started to listen to classical music and to Heavy Metal. As i grew older i started choosing those bands that do not address any religion or abuse any belief. My defense was that they inflame the sense of energy and activity and the feeling that there is no mortal that could stop me from reaching any goal. I listen to songs that deal with brotherhood on the battle field, honor and loyalty, so some how they relate to the glory of the islamic battles word by word!! There are certain songs that have stories the same as the prophet's (pbuh) and every time I listen to them I get to remember the islamic fotohat. am I doing something wrong? if yes then where, how and why? jazakom allah khayran Salam | Assalamu Alikum warahmatullah, Dearest Brother in Islam, May Allah grant you the two-fold rewards, one for seeking knowledge and another for practicing the 'enjoyment' of doing good and forbidding evil. Regarding your question of listening to Heavy Metal and other hardcore musicals as they give you energy and remind you about...

Maldives

...Introduction Country Background “The Maldive Islands, is an island nation in the Indian Ocean formed by a double chain of twenty-six atolls. It stands in the Laccadive Sea, about 700 kilometres (430 mi) south-west of Sri Lanka and 400 kilometres (250 mi) south-west of India. Being one of the world's poorest developing countries, it is threatened by global warming because of its very low elevation. The main natural resources are fisheries and a marine environment conducive to tourism. The other constraints it faces are small and widely dispersed island communities, limited skilled human resources, and rapid population growth. Maldives population of 313,920 (2010) inhabits 200 of its 1,192 islands. Maldives' capital and largest city Malé had a population of 103,693 in 2006. It is also one of the Administrative divisions of the Maldives. Traditionally it was the King's Island where the ancient Maldives Royal dynasties were enthroned.” (CountryStudies.us Library of Congress) http://countrystudies.us/maldives/6.htm Determinants of Culture Geography The Maldives lies in two rows of atolls in the Indian Ocean, just across the equator. The country is made up of 1,190 coral islands formed around 26 natural ring-like atolls, spread over 90,000 square kilometers. Ninety-nine percent of the Maldives is made up of sea. The people of the islands are widely dispersed across the atolls, with about 200 inhabited islands. About 90 islands are developed as tourist resort and the rest are...

...call kuffaar to Islam by means of religious songs (nasheeds) accompanied by musical instruments When we want to attract Christians to Islam, is it permissible to use religious songs accompanied by music? Is it permissible to have a group called a religious group because they sing religious songs accompanied by musical instruments? Praise be to Allaah. In my opinion there is no need to attract people in this manner; you should use permissible means such as listening to Qur’aan with proper tajweed and tarteel (correct recitation) and listening to eloquent ahaadeeth which move the listener, and beneficial, moving poems (qaseedahs) and nasheeds. You can also provide clear proof of what is good about Islam and explain its teachings and noble aims which will demonstrate that it is the religion that befits the natural inclinations of man (deen al-fitrah) and encompasses all the interests of mankind. Whoever can only be attracted by things that include forbidden elements such as singing, instruments and music is no good and I do not think that he can be attracted to Islam at all. And Allaah knows best. From al-Lu’lu’ al-Makeen min Fataawaa Ibn Jibreen, p. 28 Organizing singing parties and soirees In some cities and regions it is very common to people to organize singing parties and soirees where they listen to songs and trilling songs or verses from the local area and elsewhere, or to stage series of plays in some literary clubs, to which they invite singers and actors...

Maldives Term Paper

...Brandon Parezo Environmental Science Research Paper November 23rd, 2011 Maldives The country of Maldives is officially known as the Republic of Maldives, or as many people know of it as the Maldive Islands. It is located in the Indian Ocean, island nation, and the way that it is formed is by a double chain of twenty-six atolls (1). An “atoll” is a coral island that surrounds a “lagoon” partially or completely (1). The major surrounding countries near Maldives are Sri Lanka and India, Maldives is about 430 miles from Sri Lanka and about 250 miles from India (1). The major type/s of topography for Maldives is the fact that it is a cluster of around 1,200 small islands (2). One of the islands consists of just the capital, Male, and another one of the islands serves the purpose of the nation’s airport. Besides those two islands, basically every island serves a single purpose. They have an island just to store their fuel, one for their dump yards, 199 of them for population, and 80 islands that consist of major tourist locations (2). For the Maldive Islands there really only one major language spoken, Dhivehi (1). It is a Indo-European language and it spoken by at least 350,000 people on the islands (1). The present-day script that is used on the islands is called Thanna and what is quite interesting about this is that it is written from right to left, unlike us who go from left to right (1). According to the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural...

Isis: a Philosophical Evaluation

...ISIS’ CATACLYSMISM: A PHILOSOPHICAL APPRAISAL By Dominic E.B. Anyalagbuna 1. ABSTRACT: The very inhumane hazards of the so-called Islamic militant group named ISIS are indeed highly cataclysmic! However, this paper is faced with the problem of undertaking a philosophical examination of the named group. This, the paper does, using the critical-evaluative method by considering their history, aims and activities. Upon this examination, this work discovers that, among other relevant theories, this rebel group seems to be operating on the Transcendental Idealism of Immanuel Kant which states that ‘only ideas in the mind exist,’ though one cannot absolutely arrive at it. This theory follows from the militants’ idea of Muhammad’s prophecy that ‘there will be a time when the whole world will be subjected under a ‘caliphate,’ with a ‘caliph’ as their head. Nevertheless, in the end, this treatise highlights that the solution to ISIS’s crisis is mental and intellectual re-formation. In such-wise, this work adequately recommends an urgent mental re-configuration founded on re-interpretation of the Quran among these Islamic extremists, which fundamentally, is the task of philosophy to rationally and critically accomplish. 2. PREAMBLE: There is a profound state of topsy-turvy in almost the whole countries of the world, but principally and most intensely in Syria and Iraq. This is superabundantly generated by the insurgent undertakings of the Islamic militants baptised ISIS. However, there...
