Being a member of the National Junior Honor Society would be a great opportunity that I would love to be a part of. It would be a great honor to be accepted into the society. Because I am I follower of Christ, I know that I have to set an example for others, young and old, of how a Christian acts. I do my best to exhibit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control through my day-to-day affairs. I show respect to others by being kind to my teachers and classmates and trying to help them to the best of my ability. I should be accepted into the society because I have an outstanding character and am a great student. I persevere with faith in God. A group is not always easy to lead but, I try to motivate others, evenly distribute the work, and help others if they do not understand. I am currently a leader-in-training (LIT) in a second grade AWANA class. I guide and help the second graders in learning about God and memorizing Bible verses. I will keep on exhibiting leadership as best I can. I should be accepted because I help others when needs arise. For example, I helped tape papers over a window so my class could watch a movie without any glare. I respect and work by the rules of the school. I know that if I break a rule, I have to take responsibility for my actions. I will do what I can for my teachers and classmates if a need arises. I have shown service through competing in the ACSI Spelling Bee for two years in a row, and I have won 3rd place in my grade level. I also participate in youth group at Bethlehem Baptist Church and have played CYO Basketball for two years in a row. I am learning to play the piano so that I can worship the Lord through music.
