Much of Intel’s success had been due to microprocessors, a product it invented in 1971 and in which it continued to set the pace. Despite the company’s illustrious history and enviable success, its Chairman and CEO, Andy Grove, worried about the challenges ahead: Business success contains the seeds of its own destruction.
