In the short story, called “The Nose” by Nikolai Gogol the main character named Ivan was a mean barber. He didn’t care about others. He was a harsh cruel man. Until his nose went missing, things really have not changed but, it was a beginning. One difference between this story and the other story I will be talking about is that This story was sarcastic in a way. The setting was in Petersburg. People hated Ivan because he was a cruel man and when he would give people haircuts he would grab them by the nose, it would hurt the customers but they would not say anything out of fear.
