Communication to Me

...For the most part communication with others has been overall easy and annoyance free. There are however some instances where I am annoyed by other peoples communication quirks. I do have my own challenges with communication. My biggest annoyance with others communication and my own is not being able to put what we mean exactly into words. Talking seems to come easy but when it comes to putting my exact thoughts into words this is when I have the most difficulty. I don’t know whether or not if I’m afraid I’m going to say the wrong thing or if I don’t say what I actually mean. I can usually get away with plainly saying what I mean but I find it extremely hard when im trying to explain it to other people. I’ve also have a serious problem with speaking in front of people especially people I don’t really know. However I find it very easy to communicate with friends. I don’t understand as to why I find it easier, I guess it’s because I’m afraid of being judged by people I don’t know. This has always been my biggest challenge with communication. I also find myself giving one word answers very often. My reasoning for giving one word answers goes back to my inability to put my thoughts into complete sentences. If I can’t put it into a full and comprehensible statement Ill usually use a few words as a response. But my biggest annoyance is with people that aren’t good at joke or storytelling. I understand that it takes skill to do this but if you stop at every other word to remember the...

Nonsense Advertisement

...Nonsense Advertisement Advertising plays a very important role in today’s age of competition. Advertising is one thing, which has become a necessity for everybody in today’s day to day life, be it the producer, the traders, or the customer. Today, there are many clueless advertisement are being made. Most of the time, these advertisements possess no truthfulness about the product or services. The campaign runner come up with this fancy ideas of advertisement by assuming that these advert will give advantages to the business while in reality, it harms the brand image of the product or service. Consumers in general, always wish to watch or see those adverts, which depict the real product and service. They take no time to move their focus from a product if they find out that the product doesn’t offer the exact value that was promised in the advertisement. On the other hand, a creative ‘truthful’ advertisement can be vital to draw widespread attention of the target consumer. Today not all the consumers fall for the tricks of the marketers who create nonsense advertisement campaign. Even though some consumers get convinced by those advertisements and buy the product, they immediately can understand that they’ve been cheated. So, the ‘bounce back’ rate becomes extremely low and a bad image of the product gets instilled in the mind of the consumers. I think an advertisement must be honest, decent and truthful. Without these, it cannot enjoy a high level of consumer trust and confidence...

Textual Sublimations: Textual Precultural Theory in the Works of Fellini

...Textual Sublimations: Textual precultural theory in the works of Fellini Thomas Dietrich Department of Politics, University of Michigan 1. Expressions of genre If one examines the neodialectic paradigm of reality, one is faced with a choice: either accept textual precultural theory or conclude that the collective is capable of truth. Thus, an abundance of deconstructions concerning not materialism, but postmaterialism may be found. The subject is contextualised into a textual capitalism that includes sexuality as a reality. Therefore, the characteristic theme of the works of Fellini is the dialectic, and eventually the meaninglessness, of predialectic class. The subject is interpolated into a constructivist discourse that includes art as a whole. In a sense, Derrida uses the term ‘rationalism’ to denote the bridge between narrativity and society. Bataille suggests the use of neotextual rationalism to deconstruct sexist perceptions of class. 2. Rationalism and the material paradigm of discourse “Consciousness is intrinsically responsible for hierarchy,” says Derrida. It could be said that the primary theme of Prinn’s[1] analysis of the patriarchial paradigm of narrative is the role of the writer as artist. If textual precultural theory holds, we have to choose between rationalism and Lacanist obscurity. But the subject is contextualised into a textual precultural theory that includes reality as a reality. Rationalism implies that consensus is created by the collective...

Nonsense Women In Antigone

...Intro: Antigone is a no-nonsense kind of woman—and even, when she first appears to us at the end of Oedipus the King— a no-nonsense little girl. Sophocles doesn't give her any lines, but her presence seems to be symbolic of the legacy of shame caused by Oedipus's horrific mistakes. Oedipus laments the life of humiliation that his daughters will have to lead. Ironically, he also gets (1193-1201) Creon to promise to take care of his daughters. Creon decreed that Antigone was to be thrown into a cave with one day’s worth of food. Despite her engagement to his son haemon.Ex: creon’s wife Eurydice informed of haemon death took her own life. Alice in Wonderland Essay

...from real life, it trying to symbolize problems with the real world. maybe not. If Lewis Carroll doing this in Alice? Perhaps, but The popular scene in chapter 5 at the Mad Hatter’s tea party shows 3 themes that could symbolize something in real life. Three possible symbolic themes from the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party include: nonsense, rudeness, and meanness. Nonsense is used without the book, but at the tea party. Toward the end of the party the March Hare tells Alice to take the some more tea. She replies that she can’t take more because she hasn’t had any yet. The Hatter jumps in and replies “ You can’t take less, it is very easy to take more than nothing.” That was obviously a nonsense statement. Another nonsense part of the tea party is when they are talking about the purpose of a watch. After Alice points out how strange March Hare’s watch is in that is tells the day of the month but not the time, the Hatter jumps in and asks “Why should it? Does your watch tell what year it is?” Alice tries to explain that a year lasts a long time and you don’t need a watch to know the year. The Hatter again replies with nonsense Xxxxxxx 2 saying, “Which is just the case with mine.” Alice knows the Hatter is speaking English, but she has no idea what his crazy words mean. Meanness was portrayed at the tea party, by the many times the animals were mean to the sleeping dormouse. They are leaning on the dormouse when Alice arrives at the...

Philosophy

...HZT4U1 Mrs. Faria February 13, 2014 Philosophy Reflection Essay What is Philosophy? Philosophy is more than simply a school subject, it is a worldview that involves complex and contemplative ways of thinking. It can also be considered as a hypothesis, the love of wisdom, law, equation, and major part of it, science and religion. As Socrates once said " philosophy is a quest for wisdom- an unrelenting devotion to uncover the truth about what matters most in one's life." As mentioned above, Philosophy according to Socrates is a process of proving the truth and validity of certain visual ideas. Philosophy branches out. To understand Philosophy, we need to know what makes someone a philosopher, which helps to determine analytic philosophy. Along with this, we need to understand the method of philosophy which leads us to the true value of philosophy. The study of philosophy is a discipline that develops analytic thought and, ultimately, autonomy. To understand philosophy, and how it leads up to autonomy through analytic thought, we must understand what makes someone a philosopher. in the article " What makes someone a philosophy" by Mark Warnock, she helps to define the subject. Warnock clearly defines a philosopher through her articles. She says "Professional recognition is unimportant: what matters is that a philosopher is someone who thinks at a high level of generality, has 'explanatory ambition' and most importantly, provides arguments in support of his or her views. these...
