The North Carolinian Attorney General Roy Cooper announced he will not be defending, and will be calling for a repeal of a new state law which would prevent a number of local governments from approving protections for LGBT people, believing that the laws were discriminatory and a “national embarrassment.” Cooper explained that businesses in North Carolina and across the U.S. have shared strong opinions in opposition to these discriminatory laws.
