The H-bomb (which north korea currently possess) has been proved to be more powerful than the bomb dropped on hiroshima, and it is 1.84 miles big, and has around 500 miles of lethal radiation. North Korea has approximately 60 nuclear weapons. Now let's talk about America. The current most powerful weapon that america possesis is called the b61-12 or “Gravity Bomb” and has the blast radius of 8 kilometers.
Next we will talk about why North Korea hates us. Since South Korea is not part of North Korea Kim Jong Un wants to take South Korea but America is standing in there way. Since South Korea is an ally with the US, North Korea’s tension builds for both countries, and each country is scared to actually fight in case of starting an unbeatable war. Think of it right now as the cold war. A war of threats, but if one country makes a move then this cold war will become a hot

Bringing Western Culture to South Korea Via Nursing Home, Plastic Surgery, Clothing and Makeup

...Bringing Western Culture to South Korea via Nursing Home, Plastic Surgery, Clothing and Makeup Jacob Schwarz Executive Summary My reason for writing this study is to determine the feasibility of building a nursing/retirement home, a plastic surgery outpatient center, and a cosmetic and clothing store in Seoul, South Korea. In my opinion, South Korea is welcoming to this venture; this can be seen in the upcoming research. In this report, I explore the geography of Seoul, South Korea. I learn of the growing, large, population and the population density of 45,000 people per square mile (“Population Statistics,” 2013). Next, I review the demographics and find out that minority groups consist of 2.2% of the population (Population Statistics, 2013). While reviewing the demographics I found that the education system is extremely strict; though it is more lenient now, it is still success driven (Chakrabarti, 2013). I also found that religion is not going to be an issue with this venture, in my opinion. There are two major religions; the major Christian religion will be implemented in the venture (Koo, n.d.). Education and demographics are important to a global business venture, though I believe the economy is most important. I present information about South Korea’s economy, and how it has transformed from an aid recipient to a donor country (Globalization, n.d.). Here is where I mention the chaebol’s success, which accounted for 55.7% of South Koreas GDP in 2010 (Globalization, n...

Bosideng is looking to make acquisitions in the highly fragmented menswear market. Past acquisitions have been successful and we don’t think it is likely the company will make any acquisition that depletes more than half of the cash pile at most; thus we think the dividend is secure. Market concerns are overdone Six out of nine analysts covering have a Neutral or Underperform (including the two international houses). We think the market’s concerns are overdone. The first major concern is competition but we think Bosideng has a strong and differentiated brand vs. domestic challengers. Importantly, foreign competitors have much less brand power than in the sportswear sector, where foreign brands endorsed by world...

India Towards Engery Independance

...energy security concerns will intensify. The outlook and options for Indian energy independence therefore becomes an important topic. A 2030 outlook is particularly relevant since it is difficult to significantly change energy policy in 5 or 10 years, but almost any boundary conditions can be changed over a 15-year period. Moreover, there have been few if any, in-depth perspectives on this topic for 2030. This white paper builds off the ‘2030 Global Energy Perspective’, McKinsey’s substantial body of research on energy demand and supply, and our understanding of the evolution of the global and Indian energy sectors. We have tried to address some of the basic questions that arise about Indian energy in 2030: ƒƒ Is India’s current energy trajectory sustainable, as is or with some adjustments? ƒƒ To what extent can India aim to achieve energy independence by 2030? What opportunities does India have to increase domestic energy supply and curb demand over and above the current trajectory? ƒƒ How can we make the most of the new global supply dynamics and technologies? This paper is a thought starter, intended to...

A boom in developing country sales and production has not yet overshadowed the importance of existing markets in developed regions. Regional integration is very strong at an operational level, yet the industry has recently developed a set of global-scale value chain linkages, and retains national and local elements as well. The paper highlights how global, regional, national and local value chains are nested to create a pattern of global integration that is distinctive to the industry. We use global value chain analysis to help explain the limits of build-to-order in the industry, the role of regional and global suppliers, the shifting geography of production and how the characteristics of value chain linkages in the industry favour tight integration and regional production. We describe how industry concentration focuses power in the hands of a few large...

North Korea War

...was a military conflict between the Republic of Korea, supported by the United Nations, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, supported by the People's Republic of China (PRC), with military material aid from the Soviet Union. The war was a result of the physical division of Korea by an agreement of the victorious Allies at the conclusion of the Pacific War at the end of World War II. The Korean peninsula was ruled by Japan from 1910 until the end of World War II. Following the surrender of Japan in 1945, American administrators divided the peninsula along the 38th Parallel, with United States troops occupying the southern part and Soviet troops occupying the northern part.[2] The failure to hold free elections throughout the Korean Peninsula in 1948 deepened the division between the two sides, and the North established a Communist government. The 38th Parallel increasingly became a political border between the two Koreas. Although reunification negotiations continued in the months preceding the war, tension intensified. Cross-border skirmishes and raids at the 38th Parallel persisted. The situation escalated into open warfare when North Korean forces invaded South Korea on 25 June 1950.[3] It was the first significant armed conflict of the Cold War.[4] The United Nations, particularly the United States, came to the aid of South Korea in repelling the invasion. A rapid UN counter-offensive drove the North Koreans past the 38th Parallel and almost to the...

Negotiating in Emerging Markets

...to expand into areas of the world that were nearly inaccessible several decades ago. These markets have seen an increase in goods sold to them, more of their natural resources being purchased from them, and more employment opportunities at multi-national firms. These emerging markets are usually categorized as countries with low–to-middle per capita income and often considered the world’s fastest growing economies. Countries in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe are seeing a growth in local business activities as well as international business activities, both of which are stemming from multinational firms primarly located in North America or Europe. Understanding the best ways to work with individuals from these emerging markets can be valuable during negotiations. There are five cultural factors that most often affect negotiations among cultures: 1. use of time; 2. individualism versus collectivism; 3. role orderliness and conformity 4. patterns of communication; (Acuff, 2008) and 5. corruption. The goal of this research paper is to discuss cultural factors that affect negotiation and find examples from different regions on how those factors affected business negotiations and to conclude by providing ideas to deal with those challenges faced during negotiations. Use of time Individuals in different countries perceive time and use time in different ways. There are two major ways that cultures understand time: monochronic perception and polychronic perception of...

Economics/ Competitive Strategies and Government Policies

...Started over one hundred years ago in Germany and France the automotive industry has become a major source of industrial and economic stability worldwide. In this report we will describe how the auto industry is affected by new companies entering the market, mergers, and globalization, on pricing and the sustainability of profits. We will explore mergers and merger activity within the industry as well as current and expected government policies and regulations in place to address issues related to externalities. We will also take a look at the effects of global competition on the decisions made by management with regards to change in labor demand, supply, relations, unions, and rules and regulations in the auto industry. Considering the aforementioned topic on the auto industry’s competitive strategies and Government policies you will say that this report aims to explain how these two areas have impacted the auto industry and will affect it going forward. Globalization Increasing globalization in the automotive industry is changing the way of traditional partnerships. Ten years ago, it was questionable to pursue business in markets such as India and China because political and business conditions were not conducive to direct foreign investment (Emerging Markets, Emerging Opportunities , 2012).As a result, many automotive companies such as General Motors, Toyota, Honda and Ford viewed strategic partnerships as a way to dip their toes into the water and expand into different...
