...St. John’s Prophecy 15 years had passed and I can’t express how I miss my hometown and them. “Miss J, Can you believe it?” My co-reporter told me. “Believe what?” “Philippines is now the no. 1 fastest growing economy!” and so? Wait, what? I was about to say something when the CNN president clapped his hand “You know what this means” he said smiling “Yes sir, Thank you sir!” Hiding my excitement, I booked into the VIP room. A woman appeared that made my heart beats fast. “Ma’am Amy, Hello” I said hugging her and suddenly a cheer was heard. I smiled when I saw her, international supermodel April Agamanos, who looks like a pearl in the sea walked in and luckily she sat beside me she too was shocked when she saw me and congratulated me for my profession then a gorgeous stewardess came and I bleamed when I saw Alexis Sal-ao. The pilot spoke and I discovered that he was no other than Bhryx Tiwang who was recently married to WWE diva, Danielle Tiwang. The landing feels like a slow-motion because of my emotions. Philippines really improved a lot. I straightly went to a 5-star hotel and found out that it was Rose anne Flores’ possession which was designed by herself and was managed by Reycar Mabborang. I switched on the flat-screen TV then a face of an exotic anchorwoman appeared Stephanie Valera narrating the success of the movie of international actress Dr. Kimberly Tayab. She also announced the first Pinay to have ever topped the billboard top...

Competitiveness in International Trade

...Indonesia Eases Quotas on Beef From Australia Published: May 28, 2013 Retrieved from: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/29/business/global/indonesia-eases-quotas-on-beeffrom-australia.html?_r=0 SYDNEY — The Australian beef industry will be able to increase sales to Indonesia, one of its biggest markets, after Jakarta relaxed restrictions on some imports to hold down local beef prices and prevent supply shortages under a policy aimed at increasing self-sufficiency. Indonesia has agreed to exempt ―premium‖ Australian beef imports from quotas, Trade Minister Craig Emerson of Australia said Tuesday. It will also allow live cattle exporters to start filling quotas intended for the final six months of the year ahead of schedule. Australia is among the world’s biggest beef exporters and has relied heavily on Indonesian demand, but the tightening of quotas by what was its largest live cattle market in 2012 and 2013 hurt the industry. Indonesia cut its 2012 import quotas for live cattle more than a third and for beef nearly two-thirds, while 2013 quotas were cut another 30 percent for cattle and 6 percent for beef, as Jakarta sought to promote its domestic beef market. Australian beef cattle prices have recovered slightly in the past week, with the Eastern Young Cattle Indicator, a benchmark, rising 2 cents Monday to 2.96 Australian dollars, or $2.86, per kilogram, or 2.2 pounds, although prices remain 20 percent lower than a year ago. ―Today’s decision means that those farmers that have...

Survival Rate of New Era University Graduate School Students

...CHAPTER 1 THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND The goal of the students in the graduate studies is to acquire a unique experience, to develop more professionally, to sharpen a variety of skills, and to learn some new ones. Graduate education represents mastery of an academic discipline. As distinct from undergraduate education, graduate education provides advance knowledge in the field of study that is characterized by specialized training in the discipline’s theory, research, methodology, and critical analysis. Since graduate education is concentrated, learning is more self-directed and involves more individualized instruction and mentoring than does learning for baccalaureate degree. A master’s degree provides student with the skills necessary to generate new knowledge and to apply existing new knowledge. It also provides student with the professional ethics and values of the discipline. Graduate school is training in research. It is for people who love research, scholarship and teaching for their own sake and for the difference they can sometimes make in the world. (Phil. Agre. 1996). Graduate school generally takes five to eight years. The first year is often the worst. It usually consists of an overwhelming amount of structured reading designed to give general background in the basic text of the particular field. Graduate education requires significant investment of financial and personal resources and...

...SHORT HISTORY OF THE ILOILO PROVINCIAL HIGH SCHOOL The Iloilo National High School (INHS) is a provincial high School located in Iloilo City, Philippines. The history of the Iloilo High School dates back to the later part of 1902 when a school called the Iloilo Normal School was established in a two-storey building in front of and across the street of the present Provincial Building (now Casa Plaza) to meet the future need for Filipino teachers. The minimum requirement for admission was the completion of the elementary education in the old Spanish schools.  The first batch of teachers were selected from experienced American teachers. The first principal was Mr. Lutz, who, despite his past sixty years, was a very kind and understanding man.  The initial enrolment was about 250 and was divided into 5 sections. By 1903, the school had a very active literary society called Philomathean and had also a strong baseball team. In 1904, Mr. Covell succeeded Mr. Lutz as principal. To accommodate more students, preparatory classes were organized. For the first time Filipino students were selected as government pensionados to continue their studies in the United States.  Among those selected were Candido Alcazar, Ambrosio Gison, Delfin Jaranilla, Carlos Lopez, Leon Nava, Balbino Palmares, Graciano Rico, Cirilo Torreblanca and Felix Valencia. In 1905, Mr. Maxson succeeded Mr. Covell as principal.  The pensionados then were Geronimo Huising, Isabelo Lagniton, Claro Pendon, and...
