1. Shut down and unplug the computer before you start to take apart the hard drive because this will ensure that no electrical current is being used while you are working and fixing the computer this is done to protect the hard drive and technician.
2. Remove all metal objects within working area because the static electricity could damage or interfere with the computers electrical impulses or current as well as potentially harm the technician at work.
3. Use zero insertion force or very little force to remove parts of the computer because to much force could damage or break parts of the computer which are currently functioning correctly therefore increasing costs which could have been avoided.

Back up- is to ensure selected files and folders are never lost when restoring or restarting your operating system.
Disk clean up-looks for unnecessary flies that are not being used when your hard drive is running low on memory in order to free space this is used to improve speed of the system as well as increase available space.
Disk fragmentation-is used to make the hard drive run faster and perform better also to makes sure files are saved correctly and into specific locations to provide secure, reliable files with easy access.
System restore-fixes problems that may be caused by a virus and also automatically creates restore points to help maintain a healthy operating system.
Security centre- controls the security features of your computer in place to protect the functions of the computer as well as ensure virus barriers are working correctly.
Resource monitor- tracks memory, disk and network usages on the computer to help identify system resources which may be slowing down the system operations.
Registry cleaners- allows you to scan your computers for any problems in the registry and cleaning up the mess a virus leaves on your
