As a child who was your bestfriend that everything was done with? As a child did you and your friend go on countless adventures to make believe areas to fight dragons or be princesses in a castle? Once you have grown up are they still apart of your life? In Shrek, two creatures meet an ogre and a donkey meet and become friends that go on a journey together. They fight a dragon to save a princess. This would seem like a childhood adventure. But once grown up the book Men and Mice looks at it as a adult way. Two guys Lennie and George work together to find a job and to get a house and still being childhood friend. Shrek and Men and Mice are two different stories but both include a buddy system. That will face bumpy roads also great moment and hit deep points. Starting with Shrek and looking at what the movie offers as well how it can compare. In the movie Shrek, Shrek meets a Donkey who is highly outgoing and very talkative, while Shrek is very quiet, .Donkey is a small animal while shrek is three times the size of Donkey. Shrek has been living in his swamp alone for a while fighting off villagers who try to run him away. Donkey had a elder old women who took care of him, till the day she had tried to get rid of im after Lord Farquaad set a bounty for fantasy characters. In Shrek the princesse Fiona connects with Donkey and talks to him about he problem. She also sees how sweet donkey is and how caring he is. In the book Curley’s Wife talks to Lennie and understands his slowness and sees he is harmless for the most part. She let him play with her hair because he likes to touch things. But it turns worst when she gets a little scared. But both stories women may be just a object but the women have different back stories. Fiona has skills in fighting and is not afraid to show it.
