I currently work for a pediatric office where therapists provide speech therapy, play therapy, aba therapy, and diagnostic testing. They provide services in the office or in the community. I serve as the company’s compliance officer and work very closely to the owner. I wear many hats in this position, which includes billing, overseeing administrative staff and therapists, recruiting, assign employee trainings, perform employee evaluations etc.
I will say that the company I work for is a laid-back environment where we have a diverse group of employees that bring a wide array of educational, ethnic, cultural, religious and gender, economic backgrounds, talents, and perspectives to their jobs (Newstrom, 2015, p. 5). I am quite young compared to others in the company and most employees seem not bothered by that fact that I am in a management position.
A new therapist has taken the place of a valuable team member whom seems to have an issue with the generational gap of someone young in a management position. – LT
Our old in office therapist was an amazing therapist and she exceeded expectations, and put in 100% effort every time, always did more than required - BT
BT would complete an evaluation and have it entered in the system before her next client, which was a company policy to have it in within forty-eight hours. She also would also complete goals for clients, which were not required but was a huge help to our out of office therapists. Our company works best as a team and BT served as a big help because she always went out of her way to do more than expected.
LT just seems to be the complete opposite, she knows her stuff don’t get me wrong but she has no desire to put in extra work to make the flow of things easier for the office. The office has definitely changed since BT has left the company. We were able to bill daily for evaluations because BT would enter

...Glossary of musical terminology From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search This is a list of musical terms that are likely to be encountered in printed scores, music reviews, and program notes. Most of the terms are Italian (see also Italian musical terms used in English), in accordance with the Italian origins of many European musical conventions. Sometimes, the special musical meanings of these phrases differ from the original or current Italian meanings. Most of the other terms are taken from French and German, indicated by "(Fr)" and "(Ger)", respectively. Others are from languages such as Portuguese, Latin, and Spanish. Unless specified, the terms are Italian or English. The list can never be complete: some terms are common, and others are used only occasionally, and new ones are coined from time to time. Some composers prefer terms from their own language rather than the standard terms here. Case Study

...Case Overview The case looks at a company called Support.com that specializes in technology support. The company is roughly 11 years old and provides other companies, such as Comcast, technical support to their customers with purchased products. All employees of the company work remotely from home, while the corporate location has a large office in Redwood City. Support.com irritates that it is no longer a startup company, however, in many ways the maturity of its administration points otherwise. Jazmyn Robinson, a 2013 graduate from USF with a background in Communication Studies (also a team member of No “I” In Team), experienced the low-level administrative abilities in Support.com’s human resources department. She was hired in as a Temporary Contract Recruiting Coordinator in the fall of 2013. From Jazmyn’s initial perspective, the HR team appeared to be functioning just fine, but this was definitely not the case as time revealed. The HR Director, by the name of Erika, was the main cause of many problems that manifested in the department. Erika was employed for 7 years with the company, several of those years as the Director of HR. Erika had a background in Nonverbal Communication, as well as many years of experience in HR. Nonetheless, her inabilities to lead the HR team became quite evident. In Erika’s initial greeting with Jazmyn, she referred to herself as the Grand Poobah, a term used to describe an important person of power. Jazmyn felt that Erika’s behavior was a...

This will allow Riordan Manufacturing to understand how their business is functioning and how application are used more often and which are not utilized enough, helping to determine if they should upgrade or discontinue the use of a system. Each department uses different applications; some of the applications interface with one another and other are stand alone. Riordan also currently has a lot of manual processes, for example how they submit daily inventory records. ...an effort that I was going to lead. The project goal was to develop a solution such that an associate’s desktop will be available anytime, anywhere and from any device (laptop/tablet PC or even mobile phones). Multiple teams were identified to contribute towards the final goal. A process was defined whereby there would be strong accountability and systems were setup to review the progress on a weekly basis. The teams were told by the top management in the room that we must adhere to complete transparency and ensure full communication across all the teams. The project was a huge undertaking and due to the timelines everyone involved understood that we would be working under some additional work pressure. This project was initiated by the Office of the CIO (Chief Information Officer) and had visibility at the highest level because it would affect Staples’ associates globally and involved approximately $30 million.
