ONLINE CLASSES VS CAMPUS CLASSES 2
Choosing a college is never easy, but before picking school you want to attend, you must first decide whether you want to pursue an education at an online university or a traditional college. The end result is the same, a diploma that will help you find a job in your field, but the learning environment is very different between the two platforms. It is important to understand key differences between online learning and traditional classes before deciding on the right path for you. From my experiences online classes are more convenient, but campus classes makes the resources more accessible, as well as there is better class participation.
Convenience in scheduling is very important when making the choice of an online education, or one that’s more traditional. Every online class is run differently, but in most cases, it is much easier to schedule your classes around the rest of your day when you go to school virtually. Campus-based courses require that you attend class a certain number of times every week, at specific times. That might mean changing your work schedule or having to hire a babysitter. Online classes sometimes require that you attend scheduled meetings in chat rooms, but in many cases, you can work the virtual classes into your schedule whenever you want. This provides flexibility for you to be able to work toward your degree on your own time, at your own pace.

The accessibility of resources play a major roll when selecting which route one wants to take to get an education. At an online...

Online vs on-Campus Class

...Online Education vs. On-campus COM/170 3/9/2015 Online Education vs. On-campus Online classes require a lot of responsibilities, but give students the time and space that he or she needs. (Paul, 2003) Most universities now offer a plethora of on-campus courses for students to choose from. However, many students are not able to take campus-based courses due to distance or timetabling limitations. An important option for such students has always been distance education; Sometimes students ask the question if online classes are better than on-campus classes, and because they do not do the necessary research, their lack of information put them away from something that could be helpful for them and can make a big difference. Even though students must be a self-starter, online education is better than on-campus education because of learning style flexibility, cost, and accessibility. To start with, the online class offers students learning style flexibility because it gives students the freedom to choose where and when they want to study. Students that decide to take online classes can study from where they want, which means that they have a comfortable learning environment. They can be in their aunt’s house and can study from there, or they could be working and take their fifteen minutes break and can study on those fifteen minutes break. Online class gives the student the facility that they need when they are working. Also, if they have other responsibilities that......

...Online Class Compared to a Traditional Class Abigail Walter Rasmussen College Author Note: This research is being submitted on September 3, 2013 for English Composition at Rasmussen College by Abigail Walter. Online Class Compared to a Traditional Class These days, there are many different ways for students to access higher education. Students can enroll in a traditional program, attending classes and accessing educational resources on campus. You can also enroll in an all-online program, in which the majority of your schoolwork and communications are completed via the Internet. Or there's the in-between option: blended learning environments that combine on-campus and online coursework. Online and traditional classes both have teachers and books but a traditional class is face to face contact with a teacher unlike an online class were you only have email and phone calls to communicate with . A major difference is flexibility because online you can choose your own time to work and traditional you have a specific time to be at school. Online courses typically allow students to work on their own time, which means that they can complete their coursework at the time and place of their choosing. This is often ideal for working students or single parents who need a flexible schedule. However, students who struggle to be self-motivated may find that they quickly fall behind because they aren’t used to doing stuff on their own and they need that face to face help with a......

E-Learning vs Traditional Learning

...ELearning VS Traditional Learning Rashonda Ocain COM 170 June 23, 2014 Professor Olson E-learning VS Traditional Learning Many Americans consider continuing their education every day, but do not know whether online or traditional education is the best fit. As technology progresses significantly, it has bearings on every area of life, even on the way of learning. Today’s way of living now gives students the option to not only attend school/class in a traditional classroom, but to also attend virtually. Therefore, if a student works full time and wants to attend school – he now has the option to attend online. Despite sharing some apparent similarities, the differences between traditional and online learning environments are extraordinary. Traditional and E-learning are suitable learning environments that have different executions in (a) scheduling and participation, (b) student/teacher relationships, and (c) assignments and test. The first distinctions between traditional learning and e-learning are scheduling and participation. Traditional classroom settings require a fixed environment, which reduces the amount of students that can learn at the same time. However, an online class allows thousands/millions of students to take the same course at one time. Moreover, traditional classes are not flexible. Traditional classrooms require that students and teachers show up for classes at a certain time, while online classrooms can be assessed anytime during the day.......

...| Traditional Classes vs. Online Classes | /14 | | The Internet has created a revolution in every area of modern life. Education is no exception, and now there are not only traditional classes as we usually learn but also online classes. These two educational kinds have the same goal: to educate and train students to have good skills in there learning. Students accomplish them differently with online learning, gaining time flexibility but without personal interaction. Starting with scheduling between an online class and a traditional class is the time. Taking traditional classes requires the student to set up a schedule and show up for classes. This takes away from family and work. Comparing online classes, there is no set time established for when and where to study as long as a computer and Internet access is available. Courses are accessible from any computer, and usually twenty-four hours a day. In contrast, with a traditional class, students must physically go to class every day, they have a schedule and set times are established. In general, their time is not as flexible as an online class. Every online class is run differently, but in most cases, it is much easier to schedule classes around the rest of the day when to go to school virtually. Online vs. Traditional Schooling

...Online Vs. Traditional Schooling Sarah Ann Weinkertz COM/170 7/17/2014 Korijna Valenti There is a long standing debate whether online or traditional schooling is more effective. What people do not realize is that online and traditional schooling are actually quite similar once you look at the material, curriculum, and the instructors teaching the classes. The instructors for online and traditional classes teach the same curriculum, using different techniques to give the students the information that they need. Online and traditional classes do of course have their differences such as the environment the students are working in, the time they get to do everything they need to, the communication between the students with the teachers, and financial obligations. Online schools follow the same curriculum as traditional schools do, providing the students just as respectable an education as a traditional school's education. Communication between students and instructors tends to differ between online schooling and tradition schooling. When someone is attending school online they have to realize that the communication will be limited; the professor may not be online or available when the student is actually needing the help. This is similar to traditional school, varying in that connecting with an instructor is through online contact in comparison to the possibility of an in-person meeting that is typically available......

...Online Schools vs. Traditional Schools The popularity of online schools has greatly increased in popularity (perc-schwabfdn.org). The majority of the population has not been introduced to it yet. According to I. Elaine Allen and Jeff Seaman, over 5.1 percent of college students are enrolled in at least one online course (2). An online education will benefit anyone who is open to the idea of not actually being in the presence of the “normal” or traditional real life classroom setting that we are all so used to, mainly to low income families (Vander Ark). Traditional schools differ from online schools in many ways. Nonetheless, they have many similarities at the same time. While people have the misconceptions of what an online school offers, other people are aware of the many entities that these schools offer such as other students, classrooms, teachers and degrees. We all know what a traditional school looks like; we have all been to one at one point whether it has been high school or even a college campus. There is a main office, lockers, classrooms, a cafeteria, a parking lot and a library. Additionally, desks and white or chalk boards are found in these classrooms. Teachers are always helpful; they have “office hours” where a student can get extra help with the subject they are struggling with. The classes which are offered by the college are only accessible during certain hours of the day. Their definition of night classes is anytime from five in the evening to......
