Introduction

I have been tasked with researching the totality of creating an online presence for our company and figuring out how to drive marketing and advertising in a way that compliments our offline presence while creating a atmosphere online for selling our products. Over the past year a survey was done with small businesses and the outcomes were amazing: of businesses that sell online, 64 percent said the internet has increased their revenues or sales; 48 percent felt the internet helped to expand their geographic reach in the United States; and 73 percent saved money by decreasing administrative costs.

In doing this I was tasked with finding the advantages vs disadvantages of marketing online, the impact to the company, and the requirements for a successful online marketing campaign. This report shows these things- integrating my answers specifically within the realm of our product offering.

The most amazing aspect of e-commerce is its ability to impact sales and marketing efforts immediately. By going online, suddenly a neighborhood bakery…...

...educational programs. CICBC is able to make contributions to rescues both local and national, and avian medical research funding. This is done through a series of successful bird fairs and managed through the board of directors with membership input and approval. CICBC donated more than $10,000.00 for fiscal year 2011 to worthy organizations. None of the other clubs are as generous as CICBC providing donations to local and national organizations. CICBC’s closest caged bird club competitors are in northern Indiana, Chicago and Cincinnati. The nature of the organization is to educate its members and the general public regarding the general welfare and keeping of exotic birds; therefore there is no real competitiveness regarding an online presence. Bird Fever is the only competition for CICBC’s bird fairs; however, CICBC is the actual threat to Bird Fever due to cutting out the middle person between breeder or supplier and the bird fair customer, which allows the customer to purchase bird toys, food and birds at a cost lower than they are able to find at Bird Fever or any other local pet shop or supply company. CICBC is faced with major challenges for the year 2012 and beyond. These include the uncertainties brought on by high unemployment rates which limit discretionary spending, price of rent and other operating costs of the club, such as speaker fees. The Board of Directors and members continue to look for ways to provide quality, low cost bird fairs,......

...What is online therapy? People who receive therapy vary widely in their problems and their motivations to solve them. The most obvious candidates for therapy are individuals experiencing sudden and highly stressful situations such as a divorce or unemployment, people who feel overwhelmed by the crisis conditions in which they find themselves that they cannot manage on their own. The people typically feel quite vulnerable and tend to be open to therapy because they are motivated to alter their present intolerable mental states. Some people enter therapy somewhat as a surprise to themselves. Many people entering therapy have experienced long-term psychological distress and have had lengthy histories of maladjustment. They have had interpersonal problems, such as an inability to be comfortable with intimacy, or they may have felt as though susceptible to low moods that are difficult from them to dispel. Individuals with chronic unhappiness and inability to feel confident and secure may prompt them to seek outside help. Some people who enter therapy have problems that would be considered relatively normal. That is, they appear to have achieved success, have financial stability, have generally accepting and loving families, and have accomplished many of their life goals. They enter therapy not out of personal despair or impossible interpersonal involvements, but out of a sense that they have not lived up to their own expectations and realized their own potential. There are......

...How do these articles impact your understanding, attitudes and feelings about learning in an online environment? How does this seem to fit with your most efficient and effective way of learning? What ways can you leverage the online technology and this method of learning to maximize what you take away from this program? An online learning environment is not a problem for me, in fact I spent majority of my junior and senior year off college taking online courses using the blackboard system. The system that we are currently using is a bit different for me, it’s a lot more detailed and has many more features than blackboard. For some people online learning is a breeze and others it’s a never ending obstacle . After digesting this information I feel that online classes are just as effective as traditional classes, solely because in online environments you are expected to gather various forms of data, research, and other forms of evidence to help better your understanding of the topics that are presented to you just as in a traditional classroom setting. Bring in circled part page 406 After reading these articles I gained a better understanding of networks, technologies, and various learning styles used in online environments. Online learning styles drastically differ from traditional learning. ...type of online presence other than a few customer reviews and a contact number for the facility. Currently the company’s customer base is very local. While the amount of revenue Coal Mine Dragon Chinese brings in currently is comfortable for such a small business, they hope to expand further into the surrounding cities, state wide and one day internationally. Sales have remained steady, but there is evidence that the company may be able to increase revenue by adding an online operation. This relatively inexpensive form of expansion will also serve as a form of advertisement to new potential customers (Belew & Elad, 2009). Currently the only advertisement used is word of mouth and positive customer reviews posted online. While this form of advertisement can create a positive image for the company, it can also be relatively limited in the area it reaches. It also doesn’t provide a way for Coal Mine Dragon Chinese to respond to customer input in a timely manner. Creating an online operation will allow many different people to learn about the company as well as give new and current customers the opportunity to view the menu ahead of time, order online for delivery or for faster pick up. While sales would remain relatively local initially this would open up the door to those in the area who have not heard of the company, those who do not have time to sit for a meal in the establishment or those who are not able to leave their homes and would prefer to order online. It......

... Proposal for Online Business Expansion for Author Stu Campbell Jeffrey N. Meads Western Governors University Proposal for Online Business Expansion for Author Stu Campbell A1. E-Commerce Solutions During the review of several top payment processing solutions, consideration was given to available options and features, setup costs, monthly costs, transaction costs, and ease of integration into the website and with the requisite customer relationship software solution. Google Checkout was eliminated from consideration because Google has announced that it will be discontinuing its checkout product after November 20th, 2013 (Google Support, 2013). The Authorize.net transaction gateway was eliminated from consideration because it would require the client to establish a separate merchant account (Authorize.Net, 2013). Our selection for a payment processing solution was the PayPal Website Payments Standard. Customers will be able to pay with either their PayPal account or with their Visa, American Express, Mastercard, or Discover credit card. The PayPal Website Payments Standard Integration Guide, pages 323-327, provides a method of using a web form to capture the billing information for each sale on the client's website in HTML input variables, and then pre-filling the PayPal payment form when the customer clicks the "submit payment" button. The payment information transmits to PayPal via the Website Payments Standard form. PayPal will return an......

...Brianne Foster ENGL 279 Dr. Aiping Zhang Term Paper Proposal The topic I’d like to explore for my term paper is the heavy gender role/ stereotypes placed on women throughout different cultures and times. I want to bring to light the moments in which women were oppressed in all aspects of their life. I am interested in this topic because I am a woman myself and although I haven’t had to deal with all the trials and tribulations as the women of these times, this is still my history. Women have always been oppressed into a stereotype, even in today’s society there are still certain stigmas on the female gender. This issue is discussed and expressed in all forms of today’s media, education, policies and so on. Many perspectives on this issue bring forth feminism acts and organizations with goals aimed towards equal rights for men and women. Without these struggles I don’t know where I’d be in today’s society. The two texts that I have selected to write my comparison on are The Awakening by Kate Chopin and Daisy Miller by Henry James to which I’ll be able to compare the bias and misery between each woman’s struggles. The questions that my research will cover will expand on the ideals and basis of the female gender role throughout history and the main concepts as to why they are placed in those realms. Within my preliminary research I have found the repetitive oppression of the women spirit and freedom. In my paper I will present my two literature selections as support......
