a. A College: It’s where students are receiving a service for courses they’re taking. With the college the students are the customer. The main process are instructor flows, the student’s flows and the information flows. The college is providing the meals, utilities and the facilities that the students are using. b. A fast-food restaurant: is usually going to provide a quick and economical food service to the customer. The primary process flows consist of the material flow of food in every restaurant and the information flow. People in the community are the customer’s and the supplier will provide the food c. A library: provides access to books, magazines, movies and to their computers. Most services at the library ae free. The primary process flows are obtaining, storing, checking-out, issuing and maintaining the library’s items. The library provides all the books and other media to the customer.

2. Explain how the process view of an organization is likely to uncover the need for greater cross-functional cooperation.
The process view enables the company to analyze its order of processed used for converting the inputs to outputs. Since the process is reaching across different functional departments, the process view puts a greater weight on the cross-functional nature for making certain decisions,

In this proposal, I will describe the design of WiFi-based Rural Extensions (WiRE), a new wireless network architecture that can provide connectivity to rural regions at extremely low costs. The WiRE architecture is tailored for the typical rural landscape in several developing regions, in which the population is spread across small but scattered rural regions (less than 1-2 sq kms) within 100-200 kms of the city. WiRE is designed to be a wireless distribution network that extends connectivity from the city to each village.
