General Motors http://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/general-motors/2015/12/04/buick-envision/76795170/ General Motors will be the first domestic automaker to import a vehicle manufactured in China for sale in the United States. This vehicle, the Buick Envision, adds another luxury crossover to the lineup. The United Auto Workers union, saying that the decision does not represent the many people who worked to save General Motors during its bankruptcy, quickly criticized this. GM responded by saying that the Envision is already in production in China and it did not make economic sense to open another manufacturing facility.
If GM can battle the potentially negative public opinion of the Envision in the United States, the new crossover could fit a niche spot for the company and build market share.

Competing on Cost

The company keeps its airfares astonishingly low by cutting out some of the otherwise inclusive “perks” of air travel that other airlines offer. By eliminating the reclining feature they are able to pack more seats in. If a consumer is looking simply to get from Point A to B and is willing to give up some personal space and included bags, then Spirit wins on cost.

The study entailed a review of the literature in construction engineering and management as well as two of the leading academic journals in the discipline, particularly a bibliometric study of the contents of the ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering (JME), as a case study of the CEM refereed journals.
