Equal opportunities - These policies are set out to say how employees should be treated in terms of recruitment selections, training or promotion. The policies are mostly based on codes of practice issued by Equality and Human rights commission

Complaints procedure- Each ups service will have a complaints procedure to follow , and to be able to use my general public or other organisations to report poor service or any other issues that they may have or concern. For example the police complaints commission deals with complaints against police officers or for the behaviour and conduct in one or more officers during incidents or arrests.

Grievance procedure – Is a standardised list of procedures and steps which should be taken when an employee has an issue or a problem which cannot be solved on an informal basis, e.g. unfair treatment, bullying or a change in job roles.

Bullying and harassment at work policies-
The policies are designed to prevent behaviour that could be considered as bullying or harassment and state what we should do if it takes place. Bullying and harassment can cause workplace stress cause valued employees to leave reduce the effectiveness of the service offered by organisation these policies are

Five registered nurses, employed in correctional centres in Southeast Queensland were interviewed to illuminate the experience of caring for prisoner-patients. Data was analyzed using Colaizzi’s (1978) method of phenomenology. Textual analysis revealed two themes with five corresponding sub-themes that depicted the meaning of nurses’ caring for prisonerpatients. The experience of nurses caring for prisoner-patients was described by nurse participants as ‘obstructive practices’ from the custodial officers, ‘decreased standards of care’ by nursing staff, ‘prejudice’ towards to prisoners, ‘increased level of mentally ill prisoners’ and a ‘lack of recognition’ for nurses working in the prisons. Amidst all these difficulties, nurses who cared for prisoner-patients demonstrated courage in the work they did and persevered for the sake of the their prisoner-patients and the specialty that is correctional health nursing.
