The Samsung Note is a development of the normal smartphone. A stronger and faster core processor combined with the multitasking feature makes it perfect for use by professionals.
The sheer size and processing power makes the note a phone desired by people who know how to use it. Innovation and paving a path to the future is what Samsung desires. The future is near, will you be a part of it?

The segmentation strategy used with this particular product, is mostly based on psychographic and socio-cultural analyses. The socio-cultural analyses played a big part in discovering the correct target group for the Samsung Note. By learning about their lifestyles , beliefs and or jobs, Samsung made it possible to form the phablet to the needs and wants of most consumers.

Usually a normal smartphone is enough, but for some people, they want something a bit more professional. The Note is a phone mostly used by professionals because of it’s multitasking capabilities and effectiveness. Primarily businesspeople, students and other hardworking consumers purchase the note. Age doesn’t really play a big role. People who know how to use it purchase it and the age differs from 18 to 60.

...Unit 3 P5 Marketing Segmentation Introduction In this assignment I will be discussing different types of marketing segmentations, so what is segmentation? Segmentation is used by businesses to help target their products at the right customers. It is about recognising the specific needs and wants of customer groups and then using this information into providing products and services which meet customer needs. Geographic Companies segment the market by attacking a restricted geographic area. It is very valuable information because businesses can precisely tailor their products mix based on a location, for example, people in Cambridge show a preference for coffee whereas consumers in Lincolnshire tend to prefer tea. This information will allow a tea company to focus marketing its product more up north in Lincolnshire rather than Cambridge. Demographic Demographic segmentation means dividing a market into a group, age, gender, race, occupation and income. For example, Dove created a product for called ‘Men + Care’ which is a hygiene product targeted only for men. Psychographic/Behaviour Psychographic Segmentation is based on personality, values, lifestyle, interests, attitudes, self image or opinions. For example, Ducati is a motorbike manufacturer and may segment its market on the basis of personality variables such as a masculine image, independent, impulsive and fearless. Macbook Pro The MacBook pro is a line of Macintosh portable computers......

...Market Segmentation Market Segmentation is understanding the needs of key sectors that have been identified . There are 3 ways to divide the market : 1. Geographic — this is based on geographical outlines which consists of spending and income levels, purchasing habits and employment levels. 2. Demographic — this is splitting people according to their age, gender and income. 3. Behavioural — Segmentation based on the social class, lifestyle and personality of a household. An understanding of neighbourhoods can help a business to adapt to it. Market Positioning This is when a business will consider where to place their product in order for it to make money for them. This is also used to set a good view in the eyes of potential customers. Before announcing a product to the public the organisations need to think ahead of that, to see what type of customers would buy the product. So for example if a company’s product was Mouthwash then they’d go for the lower price to sell it at first only to see whether the product sells or not and then if the product shows profits are being made then the company can decide to bump up the price of the Mouthwash. Furthermore, this can also be a difficult procedure. This is because businesses need to guarantee that they know how customers recognize their products and how small variations in how the product is being advertised can have an impact on the awareness of the product. Some companies also consider relocating so......

...two therapies that Eileen has been researching and considering are acupuncture and osteopathy. * Acupuncture is said to help relieve pain by either diverting or changing the painful sensations that are sent to the brain to then alert you to the pain within the body. (Arthritis Research UK) * Osteopathy is also said to help relieve pain that individuals experience for a number of different reasons, this is done by improving mobility and reducing inflammation by using gentle, manual osteopathic techniques. Both complementary therapies reduce pain which is one of the main symptoms of arthritis so by being able to reduce the amount of pain arthritis causes it will make everyday life a lot easier for Eileen and she will find it really beneficial. Osteopathy also increases the range of motion and movement within Eileen’s joints which will also help the condition as it will make it easier and much more comfortable for her to move about. Another advantage of both these therapies is that neither of them will provide Eileen with any......

...------------------------------------------------- P5 - Interpret the contents of trading, profit and loss account and balance sheet for a selected company. In this assignment I will be interpreting the contents of the trading and profit loss account of Marks and Spencer’s and their balance sheet. I will then give my opinion on how well the might look to shareholders in the business. Scenario Marks and Spencer’s Finance Manager is attending the AGM set for the shareholders and other stakeholders next week. He has asked you to produce a presentation to address the stakeholders for Marks and Spencer’s. Why is a trading, profit and loss account important? A trading and profit loss account shows the how successful the business has been in terms of achieving their ultimate aim which is to make a profit. Most of the time the trading, profit and loss account of a business would tend to show the volume of revenue the business has received within the year of the trading, profit and loss account and the cost involved in generating that revenue. It is important as it allows them to compare their performance to previous years. This is also important because similarly to the balance sheet as it allows investors and shareholders to look at the businesses financial status and decide whether they would prefer to invest in the business. This puts added pressure on a business such as M&S because if they have failed in their objective of making a profit there is a high chance of them losing...

Dea Tutorial

...DEA Tutorial Abstract Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a linear programming based technique for measuring the relative performance of organisational units where the presence of multiple inputs and outputs makes comparisons difficult. This tutorial paper introduces the technique and uses an example to show how relative efficiencies can be determined and targets for inefficient units set. The paper also considers a number of practical issues of concern in applying the technique. Introduction There is an increasing concern with measuring and comparing the efficiency of organisational units such as local authority departments, schools, hospitals, shops, bank branches and similar instances where there is a relatively homogeneous set of units. The usual measure of efficiency, i.e.: [pic] is often inadequate due to the existence of multiple inputs and outputs related to different resources, activities and environmental factors. This problem can be illustrated for depots of a large retailing organisation which distributes goods to supermarkets. In this case the inputs for an efficiency measure are taken to be the value of the stock and the recurrent costs mainly in the form of wages, as those are resources supporting the operation of the depots. Stock is reasonably an input to an efficiency measure as an efficient depot will attempt to give a good service at lower stock levels, saving on capital and space. The outputs correspond to activities of the depots and are measured......
