There are several different divisions and departments within AAM. These consist of residential, commercial and industrial. Each division does have certain similarities. Naturally I always saw Pacific Islanders as very intimidating because of their massive physical stature. The majority of Pacific Islanders that played football with or against me were very big and dominated the players that were more near the size of average high school kids. The Pacific Islander players were in most cases always the biggest players on the field. Pacific Islanders were taller, heavier, and stronger than the majority of the players they played with or against. It also seemed as if the best teams in the state always had the most Pacific Islander players, looking back on this claim it’s hard to believe that there was an authentic correlation between the amount of Pacific Islander players and the success of a team. Pac news reports” Fiji is estimated to have received $247million (US$165m) in inward remittances in 2007. However, the report said that the true size of remittances including unrecorded flows through formal and informal channels is believed to be larger. The report noted that the acting deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Barry Whiteside, had highlighted that remittances to Fiji in 2006 amounted to $313million (US$210m)”. (PACNEWS, 2008).This case study outlines the developmental impact of remittances on the welfare of the recipients. Alleviating poverty and increasing education levels for the poor with remittance as assistance. The level of education that can be achieved with remittance as an aid and what would have been evident had remittance not subsist.
