Paintball is a popular sport in the United States and a rather young sport. The first game of paintball was played in June of 1981. According to the Minnesota Paintball League, over ten million people play paintball every year.Furthermore, over a million people play paintball at least fifteen times annually. For those who do not know, paintball is a game of skill,strategy, and speed. In paintball, small, light, seventeen millimeter thick balls filled with paint are shot with compressed air. They fire at about 240-280 feet per second, which is 163-190 miles per hour. The paint used is water soluble in case a player gets shot in their mouth and swallows the paint.
