Every day in the United States, so many children die from an injury that was not expected. Such tragedy often leaves families broken apart and changes the lives of those left behind.

Baby is a new member of the family, and we have to make sure that our homes are safe place for the baby. The most important things is to take necessary steps to make sure that we are emotionally and mentally ready for new baby. Daily in the USA approximately two dozen children die from the injury that was intended, Every year, many children are injured and have to live with following problems after the injuries such as disabilities and chronic pain. Major goal is to take on time action and help children grow without injuries.

How we know infants and toddlers are explorers and cant to predict hazardous and dangerous situations. Children recognize the world by cause and effect relationship. As example is touch hot objects and realize it is dangerous because of injury. Moreover, infants and toddlers can`t control their impulses and can`t stop their act even situation is dangerous. Infants and toddlers have not good coordination in their movements and can`t always maintain the balance. Infants and toddler have limited vocabulary and not always can`t understand sentence such as “don`t touch it is hot” or
“ don`t go there it is dangerous”.

Safety is our goal and we must to provide to infants and toddlers as a base of life.
1.To promote safety of indoor practice of supervision. * Furniture placement * Little objects * High surface
2.To promote safety of outdoor practice of supervision * Teachers material * Safety outdoor environment * Special playground for infants and toddlers
3. Provide to the infants and toddlers safety in their indoor environment. * Proper barrier on high surface * Special lockers for stove * Medication in proper draws
4. Safe sleep practice * Infants have to sleep at the back, especially boys * No feeding while child sleeping
5. Responding to the injuries * CPR * First aid with burning * First aid with poisoning

* Use safety tips for infants and toddlers.
Get down on the floor and crawl around in each room of your apartment. Look for hazards that you would investigate if you would a child. * Insert plastic covers in all electrical outlets in the home. * When diapering the child on high surface do not leave him alone there.

A group of young parents ages 20-30 years old attended a brief presentation about lead exposure in children. An educational pamphlet created by myself was handed out to the group. The purpose of this presentation was to give a better understanding of the dangers of lead poisoning.
