The second bath could use some updating. There were three more bedrooms on the second floor. The room she used, the one her parents used, and a third guest room. These all needed minor repairs mainly the wood floors needed refinishing and the walls fresh paint. She jotted down more notes.
There was one more area to examine, the attic. Remembering that boards covered the windows, she needed something to pry them away to allow light into the space.
Casey returned to the car to grab the flashlight from the glove compartment and a tire iron from the trunk before returning to the attic.
As the door swung open a musty odor greeted her. Standing in the doorway, she waited a few moments while her eyes adjusted to the darkness before moving into the center of the room.
