I am Kea the youngest daughter of Tantalus. I have ran for many years, hiding, and waiting, do not tell this story to anyone for it may lead to your death. You have most likely never heard of me, I was erased from history, my name was blotted out and my life, long forgotten.Why? Because I was the one who escaped. My story is not long, but it is a dangerous one. I had three older siblings Niobe my eldest sister, Broteas youngest brother and Pelops my other brother. It was a normal day when everything started I was about 9 years old and I was drawing a picture for Niobe.

Niobe was more like my mother she protected me, taught me, and fixed my hair everyday. I have no memory of my mother, my other siblings do but they never tell me what happened, knowing my father she died an awful death. I showed Niobe my progress on the picture and she nodded and told me it looked beautiful. I smiled and she smiled and then she went back to her book, there was an abrupt boom and my father appeared in the doorway to the garden where we were. She whipped the horse and I cried and waved good bye forever to my last brother as the guards dragged him away. We rode and we rode for hours until the horse was staggering along and we got off and let him drink in the streams. We both cried and suddenly we heard people crashing through the forest. Niobe grabbed me and put me on a tree limb “Kea, listen to me! I know this is hard but I need you to climb to the highest branch of this tree. Don’t come down until everything is safe.” Niobe whispered. I nodded and I tried not to cry. I heard a “There she is!” And Niobe dashed deeper into the woods. I waited for hours and hours, she never came back. Eventually, I came down from the tree and called and cried for
