P2: Assess own knowledge, skills, practice, values, beliefs and career aspirations at the start of the programme.

My name is , I am sixteen years old and currently attend North East Worcestershire College where I am a full time student; studying as hard as i possibly can to gain my level three diploma in health and social care. This essay is going to identify my career aspirations and the skills required to fulfil my dream of becoming a social woker.
In order to become a successfull social worker I need to be well equipped with all the relevant experience required. I currently have a fair bit of experience in a variety of social care settings such as Woodlands House, which is a care home for people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. My role at Woodland House is an activity worker. I keep the residents entertained by playing board games and a variety of other activities to keep them as active as possible. I have also taken part in babysitting for close friends and relatives. This was an excellent opportunity for me as they put all their trust in me to look after their childeren; which boosted my confidence. Combining both of my experiences together with not only adults, but children too. This enabled me to widen my knowledge about different types of care work available to people of all different ages.
I believe that everybody should be treated equally and fairly. Also each individual has a different past and up bringing, which could have an influence on the way they feel they should live their life, therefore it is very important to keep an open mind and treat every individual equally. Religion can also have a big impact on people as they may have a variety of different beliefs which i would respect as everybody is entitled to their own beliefs.

Personal Profile Plan

...Personnel Profile Plan HSM/220 Personnel Profile Plan For this assignment I will be discussing the four steps that an organization should take to change its personnel profile. These steps include; performance appraisal, staff training and development, career development, and termination. The first step I will be talking about is performance appraisal. This is usually an annual event for every employee, and sometime contains quarterly and Simi-annual progress reports. It’s useful to mangers and administrations because they are able to determine employee skills and productivity profiles. This helps supervisor and employees to get the highest performers in the main positions. For example, a supervisor would be able to look at; an employee’s work performed strengths, weakness, and level of performance though scoring systems, charting, and comparisons. The second step is staff training and development. This contains the options of in-service training provided by the agency, or out-services training workshops and institutes, which is earned through professional organizations and other groups. The third step is career development. This is set out to assist employees in achieving higher level responsibilities through on the job training and monitoring. This is done by a supervisor and employee coming together, and planning the employee’s short and long term career goals. Fourth, is termination, and is to be used in extreme circumstances. If not done correctly, it can become...

Description of the test A test that Livingston International uses in their selection process is a personality assessment that assists in determining whether a candidate fits a position from a behavioural perspective. It is an online tool outsourced through Thomas International, called the Thomas Personal Profile Analysis (PPA). It was originally created between 1928-1931 through the theories of Dr. W.M. Martson, and then further developed by Thomas Hendrickson in the late 1950s and early 1960’s (Thomas Int’l 2013). The test is based on a human behavioural theory where behaviour is a function of 2 different dimensions (external and internal) that form an individual’s pattern of interaction through four characteristics: Dominance, influence, steadiness and compliance (Irvine, Sidney 2013). Consequently, it identifies personality traits and preferences that characterize a person’s actions...

...he had a deeply personal connection with the topic, a perspective that endowed him with a unique resolve to fight for the safety of Colorado citizens. But following his gut and doing what he felt was best for his constituents, ironically, turned out not to be what his constituents demanded of him. Morse’s ardent support of five gun-control bills—including HB 1224, probably the most controversial of them (Stokols)—eventually led to Morse’s and fellow Senator Angela Giron’s recall, making the two politicians the first in Colorado’s history to be unseated in special elections (Healy). Morse was at the forefront of the successful effort in Colorado to pass sweeping legislation that tightened gun regulations and implemented extended background checks (Ferner, “John Morse, Colo.”) in the wake of the Newtown, Connecticut shootings of 2012. For his efforts, he was pursued vehemently by pro-gun activists and organizations (Millhiser). Morse persistently fought for his beliefs despite knowing the political risk he was taking in the purple state of Colorado, where voters are sharply divided on the issue (“Colorado Voters”). Las Vegas Swot

...Alyssa Miller MKTG 320 SWOT Analysis Las Vegas The LVCVA has a strength with predicting trends and for the most part has been on top of changing their marketing techniques to suit those trends. Las Vegas is one of the most famous cities in the world and it is known for a great and crazy time. Las Vegas also has an enormous customer base. Las Vegas’s image is weak in the fact that it only appeals to some customers. The smaller audience it attracts and that there are almost no options for any other age group besides 21-50 year olds also weakens it. Las Vegas has an opportunity to expand and make it’s business and experience even bigger because almost no one is competing with them. There is also an opportunity to improve hotels, casinos, resorts, and other main attraction buildings with all the new technology that comes out every year. Las Vegas has an opportunity to expand their customer base and try to reach different and new demographics. The business also has an opportunity to try and make its large industry greener. They could find ways to save electricity and water at hotels and casinos and be sure that all public bathrooms in the city have automatic air hand dryers. A threat in Las Vegas’s microenvironment is that since they virtually have no competitors, it could eventually become a boring trend or a place that everyone’s already been to. On the other hand, places like Dubai are becoming trendy with new modern infrastructure and many opportunities to attract...

Social Networking

...Social Networking and Security Tips Unfortunately, we live in a world where some individuals think that causing virtual aggravation and loss of time and money is entertaining and productive. Ever since we have been connected to the digital highway through internet access, computers have been vulnerable to malicious intrusion by programs that were designed with intent to do harm. The amount of money that organizations and consumers have spent in securing their computer data and company networks is overwhelming. ...Galura The aim of this study is to describe and identify the most common types of coping strategy used by wives who were affected by the infidelity of their partner. It also sought to provide demographic profiles of these wives. The researchers’ motivation of choosing this topic had been influenced by the everyday situation of people they knew who had experienced being separated to their husbands due to infidelity. Also, the media had contributed to their choice because nowadays, infidelity has been featured to many movies, television shows and social media sites. In this study, the researchers have employed a descriptive design. The participants involved in this research were 40 wives, age ranging from 25 to 65 years old and coming from different cities and towns of Pampanga, who have experienced infidelity of their husbands. Their sample was gathered through snowball sampling. For their theoretical framework, the researchers used the Lazarus model of stress and model of behavioral self-regulation. To quantify it, they used the Coping Orientation to Problem Experienced (COPE) inventory of Carver, Scheier, and Weintraub (1989). With the help of a professor, they have translated the inventory for their Filipino participants. They have also developed a demographic profile checklist. There were five variables in the checklist which were age, socio economic status, educational attainment, religion and occupation. The results showed that majority of the wives used turning to...
