Personal Responsibility in Life

Rough Draft:

According to Merriam-Webster (2014), Personal responsibility can be defined as taking responsibility for one’s actions, including accepting the consequences that come from those actions and understanding that what you do impacts those around you.
Personal responsibility means being aware of my commitments, knowing what my resources are to use with those commitments, understanding deficits, exploring ways to better them, and being active with my goal planning. Management of time will be the largest hurdle to overcome. When I am considering how best to manage my time, I look at two areas: structuring time for my schoolwork, and scheduling me.
Taking personal responsibility as a student, entails ensuring one’s own academic success by taking the steps necessary to attain goals, these steps may include taking charge of my life, when you take more personal responsibility for your choices and actions, you have the power to create the life you want. Increasing self-motivation, It’s hard to get motivated when you’re not sure what you want or where you’re headed. Improving personal self-management, learning many strategies for taking control of your time and energy will allow you to move more effectively and efficiently toward the accomplishment of your goals and dreams. Developing interdependence, developing positive relationships with people who will help you to achieve your goals and dreams as you assist them to achieve theirs is essential to everyone’s success. Increase self-awareness, when you realize that negative patterns of behavior, thoughts, and emotions are standing in your way of success, you can take steps to make positive changes.
