Personal Responsibility

Personal responsibility is paramount to success in all aspects of life. According to (Haskins, 2009) the definition of personal responsibility is the willingness to both accept the importance of standards that society establishes for individual behavior and make strenuous personal efforts to live by those standards. Personal responsibility means to me is that it is the paramount to success in all aspects of life. Personal responsibility is also being responsible of my own actions and consequences. According to (Quotes on Responsibility) the one quality that all successful people have is the ability to take on responsibility. Personal responsibilities can also mean being the dictator of your success. It may also decide rather I would be a success or a failure. Society dictates that if we demonstrate a certain type of behavior we would be successful in life. We have to set standards for ourselves in order to accomplish goals in our lives.
According to (Afzal, Ali, Khan, and Hamid) 2010 Student motivation is the element that leads student attitudes toward the learning process. The relationship between personal responsibility and college success is being focus on your goals. These goals can only be obtained by having standards that have been set by society and ourselves. When having personal responsibility this will allow you to see your targets of what you are trying to accomplish. . My personal responsibilities will help me succeed in college and future goals. Personal responsibility is being accountable for your actions and consequences. If I were to fail in college it would be my own fault because I didn’t utilize my resources.
