Personal Responsibility and College Success
In order to fully be successful in college it’s highly important that the students obtain an attitude of personal responsibility. When an individual finally accepts personal responsibility for their actions, is when they have matured into the adult stage. Personal responsibility is highly important for college students and their success because as a college student you have to take responsibility for all your actions and realize that what you do could affect others.
Personal responsibility is highly important for college students and their success. College students are expected to know things on their own such as keeping up with assignments, when to study for a test and when to go to class. No one tells a college student those things therefore it is there responsibility. As a student you will be responsible for demonstrating civil behavior, academic honesty and respect the policies of the college. Other great points are that as a college student, you must eat right, get plenty of rest, exercise regularly, take time to relax, learn to manage time, get involved and practice good study habits. You must also have motivation to keep you going strong.
As a college student you have to take responsibility for all your actions and realize that what you do could affect others. In my opinion personal responsibility means for an individual to take responsibility for their own actions. So basically it’s a person who can take accountability for their own well being and not blaming or expecting others to do so. No one is to blame but self, meaning if you don’t turn your work in on time it’s your responsibility and not anyone else’s and you have to be mature enough to admit it.
