This print ad features a man and woman. The man is holding a burning blow torch while the woman is holding fire crackers. The man and woman look to be young maybe mid-twenties. The man also appears to be a welder wearing a welding outfit. The woman is wearing a dress and heels with her hair all fixed up. They are both gazing into each other eyes. What makes this ad interesting is that it uses two components of persuasion interpersonal communication and the attribution theory.
Even though the young man and woman are still life images they are still using interpersonal communication. Just by looking at their facial expressions you can see that they are both smiling at each other as if they have first met. They are also gazing into each other eyes so that leads me to believe that they know each other. So, this ad incorporates a …show more content…
The company uses credibility on the cereal box because a lot of kids look up to my Michael Jordan. They see him as a well-established basketball player and one of the best in the world. That is why Wheaties includes him on their cereal box because they know that if people like him that they will buy the product because they are loyal to him.
Consistency is also on the cereal box because of the consistency of Michael Jordan and the man he is. Just like I mentioned before in the Trump example if someone has a consistent personality then they will cause others to make a commitment to their cause. That could be any cause in this case it is to get someone to buy cereal.
The eighth example of persuasion is when I was at an arcade and there was people playing a game called dance revolution. Mind you there was lot of people in this arcade. Well people playing the game started doing this dance move and then everyone in the arcade started doing it as well. Since, people started doing the same thing by looking to others it caused components of persuasion that are social proof and interpersonal

Sivesan* Abstract: In the present business environment, marketers are using different kinds of marketing strategies to achieve the organizational goals. Celebrity endorsement is one of the marketing strategies which are adopted to achieve the organizational goals. Celebrity endorsement advertisements have been known as ‘ubiquitous feature of modern marketing. This study attempts to measure the impact of celebrity of endorsement on brand equity in the cosmetic product. For this purpose, 123 respondents were selected by using systematic random sampling methods. The data analysis covered correlation, regression, and rank order by using the version 16.0 of SPSS package. Results revealed that celebrity endorsement and brand equity are positively correlated with the value of 0.3394 which is highly significant at one percent level. A result of the regression analysis is celebrity endorsement 0.44 which means 44 percent impact on brand equity. This study would hopefully benefit to the academicians, researchers, policy makers and practitioners through exploring the impact of celebrity endorsement and brand equity. This study aimed to explore the influence of two types of television programs: narratives (dramas, comedies, and soap operas) versus nonnarratives (light entertainment, sports, documentaries, and news), on smokers’ reactions to antismoking advertisements. In preexposure interviews, daily smokers (n ¼ 779) were asked to watch a particular television program they usually watched. Postexposure interviews were conducted within 3 days of exposure.
