Past a small, unknown doorway of a vast island, a dark curvy passage lead down to a large forest full of plants. Lining the bark of numerous trees was moss as soft as feathers, and weeds springing out from cracks in the ground. Behind the cluster of bushes, which looked like they haven't been trimmed in years, there was an oak tree. Towering over anyone passing, the tree seemed as if it were thousands of feet tall. Its roots dug deep into the soil, reaching for every last drop of water. No one knew what magic lived inside this tree. And no one ever found out.
Pilanu, the former goddess of Nature always enjoyed that story from the very moment her grandmother told her. She visioned it in her mind, and how she would use her goddess capabilities …show more content…
She was thinking. So many thoughts were racing through her head. Should she try to grow the stump? Will the stump help me back to Mount Olympus? Why is this tree stump even here? She was beginning to become paranoid, so she decided to look around. After glaring at a few tall blades of grass, she noticed a green marking on the stump. She believed it to resemble a leaf. “What could this possibly mean?” She wondered. She ran her dirty fingers across the rough texture of what used to be a tree. A bright light appeared in the distance, so she began to walk down to it. Once she was about to run her fingers along the bark, she fell onto a grassy area. Once she looked around, Pilanu noticed some familiar objects, like bushes in a perfectly straight line. Straight. That was what the flower was trying to communicate to her. As she strolled around the corner of grass, she saw the tallest mountains she had ever seen. Mountains. Up. It was all coming to her now. She was at the gates of Mount Olympus. She walked up to the gates, which seemed to touch the light fluffy clouds, and pushed them open. Her mother and grandmother were waiting for her there. As they ran to each other, thrilled about their reunion when Zeus powerwalked down the path. He congratulated them on their ability to make their way back to Mount Olympus. Pilanu began to speak about how she was determined to finish her lessons on how to control her capabilities, and Zeus agreed. She would begin classes as soon as possible. Those 17 years of Pilanu’s life taught her that even though she might be in times of struggle, she would make it through if she never gave up.
