Dikotomi 3
PT. Pos pernah menawarkan alternatif dengan menawarkan produk dengan menggunakan teknologi terkini yaitu web-site jual beli online (plazapos.com), tetapi kurang menarik minat pasar.

...through Corporate Social Responsibility A case of CSR Partnership Program of PT Adaro Indonesia and POSDAYA in South Kalimantan Dr Laila Refiana Said Indonesian National Council on Social Welfare Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Abstract In recent years, social responsibility of corporations has become a major issue. As a result, the mining companies in Indonesia have come under increasing pressure by NGOs and communities. In response to the pressure, mining companies in Indonesia have carried out corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, especially when the companies are subsidiaries of global mining companies that utilize CSR as part of their global business strategy. The companies recognize that there is a responsibility to give back to the local communities to ensure the development of a better life in the surrounding mining areas. This paper brings a family empowerment perspective to many of the issues covered in the CSR programs. One of the strategies emphasizes a good relationship with local communities through community development as PT Adaro Indonesia made through its free cataract surgery programs for residents in South Kalimantan together with Badan Koordinasi Kegiatan Kesejahteraan Sosial (Coordinating Agency of Social Welfare Activities). This paper examines the combined effectiveness of PT Adaro Indonesia’s CSR program with the family empowerment program of POSDAYA (Pos Pemberdayaan Keluarga) in South Kalimantan. Thus, it focuses on the best practice...

For example would be, the price of fried potatoes that I ordered for pleasure on my free time cost seventy one thousand and five hundred rupiah, which is three-times more expensive than the fried potatoes that I ordered in Jakarta. From my experience in Sepa, I realized, that as emotionally, it’s really hard to overcome the ‘language barrier’, and to adapt to the culture that is in Sepa. In addition, it’s also hard for me to just stay there, even for two days and one night, due to the unfamiliar surrounding that is just too overwhelming. The implementation of anti-terror laws provided Australian Security Agencies with extra powers need to investigate and detain those who threaten Australia, its people or interests. These Security Agencies experienced substantial budget increases to further develop capabilities in the fight against terrorism. Regional stability throughout South East Asia provides a challenge for Australian foreign security policy. Australia’s geographical proximity to Southeast means Australia has an invested interest in maintaining stability through strong ties with states such as Indonesia. This essay will critically state how the US and South East Asia have shaped Australian security with an international response against terrorism. Over the past 60 years Australia and the US have formed an alliance to combat those who pose threat to global security. The alliance was constitutionally formalized in 1951 with the signing of the ANZUS Treaty (US Department of State, 2011). The signing of the treaty binds Australia and the United States to consult on mutual threats and act upon common dangers. The agreement was drawn into effect for the first time with a global response against the terrorist actions of September 11. Australia and the US have shared military and intelligence capabilities with the invasion into Afghanistan...

...News Summary #4 Region: Asia " Australia says no Indonesia refugee swap deal"- November 12, 2013- Channel News Asia Australia said on Tuesday it was in discussions with Indonesia on how to deal with asylum-seekers intercepted at sea between the countries, but no people "swap" deals were in place. The situation arose last week when Australia rescued some 60 asylum-seekers from a stricken vessel inside Indonesia's search and rescue zone and Jakarta refused to take them back, instead they were taken to the Australian territory of Christmas Island, and now face resettlement in Papua New Guinea or the Pacific state of Nauru. Initially, the refugee swap deal had called for Canberra to take thousands of registered refugees for resettlement in exchange for the Southeast Asian nation accepting hundreds who arrived in Australia by boat. The plan was left hanging, and since then, the Australian government have sent back refugee boats to Indonesia, a policy which infuriated Indonesia. Undang Undang Melaka

...The Customary Malay laws are an important source used in studying the system of governance, the administrative system and the structure of the traditional Malay society. These customary Malay laws also gives an insight into the world view of the traditional Malays. From the proverbs “to pound in the mortar”, “to cook in the pot”, we know that the Malays are particular about the need to do things appropriately. And from “On the land where our feet are planted, above is the sky that we pledge our loyalty to; the place of our abode, is the custom we abide by”, we can deduce that the Malays are a people who can and are adept at adjusting to the situation and to the changes over time. Sir Stamford Raffles was the first person to grasp the importance of studying the customary Malay laws. While he was in Penang, Raffles started to collect copies of the manuscripts of the Malay laws. He rejected the view that the Malays do not have laws. On the contrary, he stated that each and every Malay state had their own laws. In his letter to Lord Minto, he had asked Lord Minto to require that all the Malay state/government furnish their own set of laws (Lady Raffles, 1835:100). In the meantime, he busied himself studying the Malay laws. As a result, a working paper was presented at a convention of the Bengal Royal Asiatic Society. The working paper was titled “on the Malay Nation, with a translation of its Maritime Institutions” and was published in the Asiatic Researches (Volume 12, 1818). ...
