Fdi of Cgn

...For CGN, after signing the agreement, the biggest challenge is the high possibility of delays and cost overruns during the construction stage caused by technology challenges and risks from its partner EDF. As we mentioned before, The Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C plants will be based on EPR reactor technology, while the new plant at Bradwell will use CGN’s Hualong One Creator design. The EPR and Hualong one design are Third Generation reactors and they are designed to be safer, more powerful and more efficient than earlier versions. It's also meant to be easier to build. But so far the reality has been the opposite. Both of them are Third Generation reactors which are new technologies and do not have a successful example across the world. Wherever the new EPR is being installed - in Finland, France and China - the projects are beset by delays and massive increases in price. The first two EPR plants in Finland and France are both facing costly construction delays (to at least 2018). Other two units in China were to start operation in 2014 and 2015, but are now expected to come online in 2017. And delay means losing money and additional investment. For CGN, this is the first time to build nuclear power plant in a developed country. Whether this project can be finished successfully has a significant impact on its subsequent plants. Delays and cost overruns will have a negative effect for CGN to expand businesses to other countries. The resignation of such an important figure...

...writer, gives a presentation which takes place in November 2011 at an international convention hosted TED in Brussels, Belgium. Bohannon introduces a modest proposal for easing our economic financial burden through the use of dance vice power point presentations. The idea first came to Bohannon during a conversation with a friend who is physicist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His friend was struggling to explain a scientific experiment on “lasers could be used to cool down matter”. Science is a subject where the more words that are spoken the more confusing it becomes. Therefore by the end of the conversation with his friend, Bohannon, was more confused. Then thought the experiment could have been explained more clearly through dance. Dance vs. PowerPoint As I scanned the list of Creative Spark videos I decided to make my selection based on the title that grasped my attention. I eventually narrowed it down to three. However the first video that I watched was titled “Dance vs. power point, a modest proposal by John Bohannon and the only one. In no way shape or form am I a science buff. Therefore when his presentation captured and maintained my attention that spoke volumes. Bohannon makes the statement, “bad power point presentations are a serious threat to our global economy” while it sounds like a ridiculous point he provides interesting supporting details. He goes on to explain how we spend $250 million dollars per day on power points and one quarter...

Diabetic

...Diabetes Education Community Teaching Due: April 13, 2014 Diabetes Power Point at QCP This diabetes power point was presented at an adult community center in Queens, New York called QCP. This power point highlights the importance of educating yourself on disease and more specifically diabetes. Unlike other diseases that can be managed using only medication, diabetes requires day to day knowledge of the disease including nutrition, exercise and different levels of medication. Type II diabetes can also come on later in life based on diet and exercise or lack thereof. Therefore this power point presentation was important to help people understand how to deal with diabetes and how to prevent diabetes. This teaching plan includes education for both prevention and management of the disease. The power point presentation first describes what type of disease that diabetes is and what exactly the symptoms are. The teaching plan goes on to discuss the three different types of diabetes including Type I, Type II and gestational diabetes. Following along the teaching plan teaches how diabetes is diagnosed and what type of symptoms people have when they have diabetes. This helps people better understand the disease and what their symptoms mean and what causes it. The teaching plan is careful to differentiate between pre-diabetes and diabetes to make sure that people understand the difference before they experience the full blown disease. My teaching plan includes simple learning devices...

...Microsoft Power Point While I have used Microsoft Power Point in a previous class, I do not have a solid grasp of using the program to the fullest potential. With my lack of expertise with this program in mind, I chose to use this program to develop a product for use in a classroom. Microsoft Power Point is program if used to the fullest potential, could bring the learning experience to life for the children that would otherwise not understand the course material. Microsoft Power Point is a program that can enable a teacher to prepare a presentation that could introduce students to information that they need to learn. The information can be formatted in nearly endless ways. With such a wide range of possibilities, the teacher can use this to keep the presentations new and interesting each throughout each presentation and from presentation to presentation. The presentations have the ability to contain videos, which a teacher could install. These videos would allow students to see the information in an additional way other than in text form. Since many students are visual learners, this could be a great value in an educational environment. Inside the presentations, the teacher has the ability to install links to supporting websites, files, or other types of information that supplement the classroom material. Having this ability makes organizing information to be presented to the students more organized. Teaching Product With Microsoft Power Point, I created a presentation...

Each person on the team is required to present a section of the case. Professional dress is required and will be considered in your grade. The following points should be considered in preparing your presentation: 1. Solve and prepare the written analysis of the case (every team must do this part). 2. Reflect on the case and the message you would like to deliver during your presentation. Remember that there are classmates (like those on a Board of Directors or Audit Committee) in the audience who have not prepared the case problem. 3. ...preservation of health. This teaching experience featured information about vaccines that would be pertinent to teach to parents of all ages and nationalities utilizing a childcare center in Tempe, AZ. The topic presented was about relevant information concerning vaccines that parents of children ages 0-10 years old would be interested in learning. The information was delivered via a power point presentation which included graphics, open dialogue, a quiz section at the end of the power point and a question and answer segment. The nursing diagnoses identified were, “risk for infection related to incomplete immunization series, knowledge deficit (parent) related to potential side effects of vaccinations and readiness for enhanced knowledge related to health promotion and vaccinations” (Clark, 2003). Traits to gauge readiness to learn were identified as, “motivation, maturation, past experience, activity, practice, reinforcement and transfer of learning,” (Knowles, 1990). In this teaching experience the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning is used through the creation of a power point presentation to show the information to the audience using both words and pictures.
